There is nothing wrong with this hotel, but there were a few things that we found annoying. Our tv had to be set up by the front desk staff as all we got was snow. They assured us it would be fine the next day, it wasn’t, back to square run. Our telephone did not work, so we had to go down to the front desk and tell them our tv didn’t work. Upon check in we were told the pool and hot tub were closed for a couple of hours for maintenance. They were closed our entire two day stay. The workout room has no bench at all. Three machines and some free weights, but no bench. It was also very small. The WIFI wouldn’t connect to the Internet. Small things, that add up to a just ok rating. Well try a different hotel while in Kamloops next time.

The hot tub is pretty small for a hotel of that size and when I turned the jets on, a lot of foam appeared which is a sign of a not chemically balanced out hot tub. My wife got out and went back to our room because of this. We have had a hot tub all our life so we know what we are talking about.

The hotel itself was “fine”. The shower wasn’t great. Pressure was too hard (if you can believe it) and spayed everywhere. The beds were GREAT though! Very comfortable. There was no bottled water available in the hotel. I had to go next door. Not a major inconvenience, it just wasn’t great especially after getting in late.

We liked the comfy beds with the option of soft or frim pillows, the breakfast was great. Everything was cooked perfect and always hot and fresh. The hot tub and pool were great, it was perfect for our family and was pet friendly for our pups. All the staff were happy, kind and ready to help with anything the could. as someone suffering from near blindness I found this room was by far the best we ever stayed in. The room had lots of natural light but also plenty of interior lighting that really aided my ability to be independent while staying. Other hotels should learn from this.

Everything was great. The continental breakfast was very good food. My only complaint was the heater in the room wasn't working properly. It would go from hot to cold no matter what I set the temperature to. It was a little bit difficult to sleep because of this. But I figured out how to shut it off completely.

It would be great if the sites updated when there is renovation’s happening. We specifically stayed to have a pool and hot tub experience. There is an agreement to use a close by hotels pool and such, but if that was the case we would have just stayed at the other hotel. The renovations had no impact otherwise,

Left out in the cold
I have stayed a few times and always book the same room this time the fire place didnt work ,the light above it didnt work. The bedroom blind was broken and wouldnt open . I look forward to hsving my time alone and the fire place is one of my favorite parts . When you pay almost 300 a night everything should work. Maybe its time to try a different place. No recommendations to peopld to go there from me for now.

When i reserved the stay i wish they were honest. When i checked in with my family we were told there was no hot tub and pool as they were renovating it. If it said that on the expedia site i would not of stayed, i travel alot and need a hot tub to ease these old aching bones, and my daughter loves to swim. I was originally booked at a different hotel but canceled it to stay at this Holiday inn, worst move ever. The carpets were dirty and the OLD air conditioner was loud like a jet engine, you couldn't talk or hear tv while its on. The parking lot looked like a construction site. Wish i never canceled my previous choice, never ever again.

I booked this hotel ahead of time specifically for the fact that it had a pool for my two young nieces to swim in. Upon check in, we were notified that because of an "incident" the pool was temporarily closed. End of discussion. We were very disappointed and let the concierge know that they should have had that clearly marked on the website or a courtesy email sent to the guests of the hotel. We were given an apology however nothing else. I feel like the hotel should have attempted to make it up to us but literally the message we got was too bad so sad. If I would have known 24 hours ahead of time that the hotel pool was closed I may have been able to cancel the reservation without penalty. But I was not given that option. Truly disappointed.
