“Spacious and all the comforts of home away from home”

We stayed at the Whitman over Memorial Day weekend. I don't know if all the rooms are suites, but that is what we had. When you entered the suite, there was a little sitting room with a TV, small table, a desk, two end tables, and a pull out couch. There was also a "kitchen" sink, two burners/hot plate, a mini refrigerator, and a small supply of dishes. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The bedroom had another TV, a desk, and two full-sized beds. Everything was clean, even if the rooms/hotel seemed a little dated. We didn't realize this until the last day, but there was a small, free buffet breakfast in the reception lobby. My only complaint is that the WiFi didn't seem to work. I could pick up reception no matter what I did, so I couldn't work on my laptop while there. Otherwise, my family was very satisified. We'd stay there again.

“Reunion Weekend”

Stayed here for a HS reunion down in Huntiington. Lodge was clean and close to what I needed to do. Staff was friendly. I'd recommend getting a room in the rear of the lodge as the front faces a busy road.

“It was a nice stay”

We would have enjoyed having some emenities of home like a microwave and/ or a fridge, we were in the back s and it was 37 degrees out, so to get ice we had to walk across the path!!

“Three day weekend stay.”

We stayed in a king room and it was just the right size. The beds were very comfortable. The room size was not big like the fancy places but it was just the right size for what you pay for. The only problem was there is limited channels on the TV. There are a lot of places to do stuff around the motor lodge. Also different places to eat within a 5 minute drive.

“Needs ungrade”

The Motor Lodge is older, but the premises were clean. Outside our door was a plunger?? Front desk clerk(owner) was not very friendly, although no problems with the transaction. The room was very clean. The TV was ancient and there was no radio.

“OK for value”

Very nice customer service. They allowed us a 1 pm checkout and hotel was in a busy, easily acceptable area. The bed was just not comfortable at all, woke up in terrible pain.

“very local older well kept motel”

small room, shower only no tub, very old buldings well kept, poor to no shower water pressure. Minimum offerings at breakfast. For the price and quick two day stay I have had better. Closest to work and food places.

“Could Have Been Better”

I had to wait 10 minutes for the desk person to arrive back at the lodge. He was away from the property and seemed a bit shaken when he saw me there waiting for him. We checked in and were provided a room to the very rear of the property. Well, on the other side of the fence, there are single family homes, one of which was having a load drunken party. I came prepared with ear plugs. As for the room, it was comfortable, but the bed was way too short. I am only 5'9 and my feet stuck out from the front of the mattress. Not too very comfortable.

“Disappointing”

Although it was nice to find out that, due to overbooking, we were upgraded to a better room, our one-night stay was disappointing. The beds were too short and the pillows dreadful, a combination that prevented us from having a restful night of sleep (and that is precisely what one is paying for a hotel!). The bathroom cleanliness was less than acceptable (we were able to tell that the person using the room before us was a brunette). It was a cold night, and the air conditioning they offer in the rooms were not up to par. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
