“Great location "home from home" very comfortable.”
The Galaxy Iraklio Hotel is a comparatively new hotel close to the centre of Heraklion. Staff are extremely friendly and very helpful. The hotel is nicely appointed but rooms are a little small. Some rooms on the 1st floor have been smoking rooms but are now non smoking but do smell of stale tobacco, if you are very much against this smell then do request a room on the upper floors which are full non- smoking rooms or request a PURE room. Food in the restaurant and the cafe is very good with very friendly wait staff. The pool area is very pleasant for chilling out after a hard day on the tourist trail and the bus to Knossos stops just up the road. An easy 10 minute walk to town makes this a great choice of hotel. Free wi-fi is great. Hotel does not keep many brochures about trips etc, so a must to go to a travel agent to find out all the fanastic things to do locally.
“Good accomodation”
Very helpful staff, nice location, and well kept hotel. We enjoyed our stay at the Galaxy. The breakfast buffet was excellent.
“Best hotel in Heraklion”
We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and it was very quiet and clean, modern, had very friendly staff and was in a good position - approx 15 mins walk to the town square. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was nice with a good variety to choose from. Our only grumble was the food and drinks were very pricey but this may have been due to the rubbish exchange rate
“I loved my stay here!”
The hotel is a luxury hotel, so beautiful and clean. The linens are so soft and comfortable. Everyone is friendly. Breakfast was great, so was the coffee. I highly recommend this hotel! The pool is beautiful, and they provide towels! The lobby is great! The attached lounge has great cocktails, a little pricey for the USD.
“Great hotel”
This hotel was super comfortable, clean, and overall very nice. The staff was extremely helpful with directions to the city center and Knossos. The breakfast was delicious and they offered a great variety of foods that changed a bit every day. We really enjoyed the pool area, it was beautiful and not very busy. This hotel is not in the city center, but a 10-15 minute walk away. We did not find this to be a problem, especially considering how nice the hotel was. Overall it is a very nice place to stay!

Perfectly located, within walking distance (10/15 minutes) to City Center, and within riding distance (10/15 minutes cab ride) from the Airport. Very quiet and convenient...
“What I was looking for”
The Galaxy was what I was looking for - a quiet few days with books and a pool. All the staff were very helpful and the one problem I had (the safe wouldn't reset) was solved at once. The hotel was clean; the meals in the lounge bar of a good standard. The downside was there were road works out at the front so eating out at the front of the hotel wasn't an option that week. Breakfast (buffet) expensive for what I had but I'm sure if you like a hearty breakfast it's worth it. 10 minutes walk to the park and another 10 minutes to the main street. There's a supermarket en route - I bought any bottles of water there! Pool clean and well maintained; it's small and is not a pool for young children, though there was a family using it. Unfortunately, the neighbouring building is a bit of an eyesore. I would go back if I was looking for another few days in the sun.

“Trendy Iraklio!”
Very comfortable room, modern facilities, well maintained, very clean. There is a Starbucks on the corner, and a Greek Bakery across the street. The hotel restaurant was pricey, but the food was good. 10 minute walk to the center of town. 10 minute drive to the airport. Small parking area in back, however, in spite of the million small cars in this city we never had a problem with parking.I don't speak Greek so it really helped that the front desk staff spoke very good English. If I'm in Iraklio again, this is where I will stay.
