In Guatemala City's commercial banking area, the hotel is two blocks from Zona Viva, with its art galleries, disco bars, restaurants, and shops. Several major museums are one km (0.5 mi) away. Complimentary airport transportation is available, 5 AM–10 PM, with advance reservations (based on availability).

Standard rooms are in the hotel's original Tower 1, while deluxe rooms are housed in the newer Tower 2. Rooms provide pool or city views, and Tower 1 rooms include walkout balconies.
Guestrooms feature 300-thread-count cotton linens with white-and-beige design; down comforter (bedspread) with cotton cover, freshly laundered for each guest; six down pillows, including bolster, and a separate mattress topper.
All rooms include high-speed Internet access (surcharge). Minibars, TVs with U.S. channels and pay movies, and multi-line phones with voice mail are additional conveniences.
Turndown service is provided nightly.

“Perfect Time!!!”
We stayed here for a week, and it was a great time. Everyone is so Friendly specially the front desk recepcionists. When we arrived Fernanda went out of her way to give us the perfecet room, I immediately love the hotel because of this. Because I know a lot of people care for this, the water pressure is beautiful and there is HOT water :) and the breakfast buffet is excelent.

“nice place in guatemala city”
trhe hotel is nice well located with a nice view a good sushi restaurant and a comfortable pool area. how ever the television service is very poor and the promise of a minibar is not quite true. but over all the place i very nice for its price.

Barcelo is a nice place to stay... clean, well-maintained...staff helpful...but the concierges are just front desk people rotating ...not very knowledgeable...easier to get info off the net from the lobby which has free wi-fi.Buffet breakfast included in the room price is a big bonus...good choices.
“Very Comfortable Stay”
I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the Barcelo turned out to be. It is very conveniently located, close to the airport and the entertainment/shopping district in Zone 10. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I reserved the most basic accommodation. The room was a little on the small side but excellent value compared to other hotels in the area. The fixtures in the bathroom were a little dated, but besides that, the room was spotlessly clean and well decorated. The hotel has two ATM's in their lobby so you can safely withdrawl money before hitting the street. There is also a good sized personal safe in your room so you can stash your laptop, camera, etc. while you are out of the room. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely go back next time I'm in Guatemala City.
“Very nice.”
The staff were very considerate and helpful. Each morning the bathrooms were cleaned and tidied up. Also, a new bottle of bottled water was provided. The restaurants were good and some of the buffets were quite interesting. We were there for an adoption and all needs were provided.

This is a top of the line hotel, I would defenitelly recomend this hotel to anybody goingo to Guatemala.

Very comfortable rooms, great food and incredible staff. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and assist us during our stay in Guatemala.
“Very Satisfied Experience”
Stayed at Barcelo for a weekend and enjoyed the great service and many of the amenities. Room was very nice and comfortable - wall mounted LCD, balconies, and bathroom kits were nice touches. Service was good - everyone seemed to speak English. Food was very good as well - buffet breakfast had great variety, Kyoto sushi restaurant was decent, and the sports bar had a nice atmosphere. Overall, it was a very satisfied experience.
