Clontarf Castle Hotel is a recently-refurbished castle, originally built in the 12th century, and retaining many period features as well as contemporary amenities.
10 modern conference rooms cater for meetings of up to 550 people and come equipped with the latest audio visual equipment including wireless Internet, lighting and public address systems. Other practical amenities include free secure outdoor car parking, luggage storage, currency exchange service, and a fitness facility.
The concierge is always on hand to assist with booking tours and advise on the area's best attractions. The city centre can be reached via the bus service, which calls outside the hotel.

Knights Bar - Located in the original castle, guests can enjoy a drink in the refined setting and order something from the extensive bar menu.
Indigo Lounge - A trendy lobby lounge with newly designed plush and vibrant furniture, the Indigo Lounge serves up an excellent a la carte menu in a relaxed setting.

Recreation
The hotel has a small gymnasium on site, while a number of outdoor pursuits are located nearby. These include the many walking paths immediately surrounding the hotel; five golf courses within a 10 kilometre radius and sea fishing which can be arranged in Howth, a small fishing village 10 kilometres (six miles) from Clontarf Castle.

“my lovely stay”
beautiful. Only there 1 night so didn't have enough time...it was a true castle.
“A Regal Experience at the Castle!”
Clontarf Castle is a beautiful and historical place. The room was lovely and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating always. We highly recommend this property.
“Definite recommendation”
We had a very enjoyable stay, a fantastic city and excellent hotel. From the welcome to our check out, the staff were extremely helpful and well organised. Our room was brilliant and very well equipped, the rainfall shower was great for waking up in the morning. Our favourite part of the room was the window seat, especially at dusk!

Wow this place was great, excellent staff, excellent food and the rooms are very comfortable! Best bed ever! Overall an amazing experience!
“Great Hotel!”
This was a great place! About 15 Minutes to City Center on the Bus (Dublin Bus #130) which stops less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and the decor was perfect
“The Wow Factor!”
If you're headed to Ireland and plan to stay in Dublin, you MUST stay at the Clontarf Castle. The Castle is beautiful, the people are friendly and helpful, and the ambiance is ROMANTIC. The Castle was business-friendly as well, and I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for anyone and everyone.
“Great Location”
Just outside the City - a short bus ride of E1.50 - E1.70. The food was good (a little on the expensive side)we ate in on the first night. Staff very helpful and the Concierge spent a few minutes discussing what was available to visist in the city and how to get arround. The rooms next to the lift may be noisy so ask to change if you are allocated one.

Just returned after 2 night stay and everything was first class.Beds very comfortable,new showers throughout.They spent millions remodeling and it shows.The bar and food was excellant.Quite easy to catch bus into city center as it is impossable to drive into Dublin for 1 and a half Euro and it runs every 15 minutes.
“Castle living was great”
Neigborhood was very quiet and the people were very nice. The staff, especially the concierge, were very helpful and curteous. Quick bus or taxi ride to Dublin Centre.
