"Very beautiful place with very welcoming owners. This break at the end of the working day was very relaxing. For Europeans not used to loadshedding, bring mosquito repellent to protect yourself from their arrival when the fan stops! This will not stop me from coming back each time I will visit Paarl. "We stayed in Cottage 2 and it was the most spectacular room we have ever stayed in! We refer to it now as the “perfect room”. I loved all the light and the glass wall that opened up for lovely fresh air. The grounds were beautiful and inviting. We walked around the Park Run, admired the olive and oak trees, and grape plants, and petted the donkeys. The hosts were terrific—warm and welcoming—and the breakfasts were extraordinary. We look for to visiting Duikersdrift again. "

Not many other people otherwise the cottages may have been a bit close together, also quite near the road (Pinotage cottage). Home from home accomodation.
"Nuwerus was one of the "fortunate" yet "unfortunate" places in Paarl that was "hit" hard with the recent fires. It was so close to the main buildings that I can only descibe it as hair-raising. Yet although you can see the fire damage to the gardens etc the service was once again spot-on and the facilities as clean and well appointed as we are used to. The owners really does care about the customers as well as the property. Well done is all I can say. Already booked my next stay."
