"We stayed here as we wanted a night away and judging from the reviews decided to give it a try. On checking in to our room the radiator was on and the room was very hot. However we went to the restaurant for food and spoke to LYNO the manager there. He checked the radiator and unfortunately it was faulty. "My only complaint is that I was in one of the more extreme (away from centre of hotel) rooms and the WiFi signal was weak. Otherwise, this is an absolute gem of a place with serious English charm and lovely staff. Would certainly recommend."

"Great pub accommodation above a charming old inn. Obviously there is some noise from the bar but it wasn’t intrusive enough to prevent me from getting to sleep. King size four poster bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Only concern was the very hot towel rail adjacent to the loo, I’d hate to lean against it whilst having sampled one to many of the ales downstairs. "

"The rooms at the Pelican are recently finished and very clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were a good size and the shower was excellent. The free wifi worked well. The only downsides are: They do not serve breakfast. There are however cafes nearby which do. The Pelican itself is very busy on Saturday nights and so there can be an issue with noise. "Absolutely beautiful views from our window. Bed was best bed I have slept in, in a hotel for years. Spa was okay need more beds around the pool. Amazing back massage but only 20 mins for £55. Would recommend and would return for another visit. "
