"This is a very unique place to stay in the heart of downtown Valletta. Great walk ability to the restaurants and shops. A great view of the port. We were lucky enough to be there for the fireworks. You couldn’t ask for a better view. The staff were beyond helpful. It is an old hotel but they have maintained it very well."

The only negative about my stay I would have to say is the location just because it is right in St. Julian's and that area is a very young and noisy area. "I was feeling sick when we arrived earlier than check in time and the manager went out of her way to get a room cleaned so we could check in early. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very nice. The only thing I would recommend is a more pro-active approach to anticipating our needs for dinner reservations and marking different attractions on the map so we know where to go. Also, there was a wedding on the floor above and the music was blasting for hours. "

"Excellent location next to the port. All staff were fantastic and friendly, the receptionist who checked us in was wonderful. Free parking but a bit hair raising getting up the slope. Breakfast was plentiful and I enjoyed the variety. The roof top bar was superb and the cocktails were amazing!! The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel is a bit dated in places but renovations were on going. Both pools were fab as well. I would stay here again."

Although the hotel is a bit aged, it is located right on the waterfront in Sliema, which offers a huge number of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Our room's balcony overlooked the sparkling harbor area, which is beautiful at night. For the money in an expensive area, it is a good bet for travelers."

"My stay was excellent in every respect except one. There is no security for guests entering the building, lifts or corridors. There is a route in which bypasses reception and is open 24 hours.
