"overall the building was lovely reception stunning staff efficient room was lovely absolutely sufficient quiet setting in a village room iron and board trouser press fan safe and small fridge which was a god send we didn’t use the pool or sauna lots of building work going on all around. 3 complaints my daughter paid extra for a bigger bed the bases were separate as were the mattresses nothing to hold them together so kept coming apart thru the night sheets didn’t fit the bed properly soon as you...

"We both had a fabulous time. Loved the pool area. The gardens are beautiful- will have to return in the Summer next time. We only ate breakfast there but there was plenty of choice."

"It as a beautiful 1400 Grade 1-listed building, which was great, but I had problems with the shower. In my initial room the water was lukewarm at best. I was moved to another where the water was hot but the shower was weak. The staff were excellent and the breakfast was good. They had soya milk for my coffee."

"It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :) "

"Not bad. Property is used by locals as a wedding venue so there were many visitors joining to discuss this. Lunch area gets packed. Menu of food was good on Wednesday. On the first day of the week, its usually basic (fish and chips, pie etc). Rooms were spacious. Bit dated but add to the Tudor charm."

"The breakfast that was included in the £75 a night price tag was non existent. Had to contact hosts by phone for some toast on 2nd day, gave up after that. Room was poorly ventilated & either too hot or too cold. Difficult to see keyholder combination lock to get in and out at night."

"We booked 2 rooms, due to a late finish at work. Would have been better to return home at 2 am in the morning. Noisy guests on and off until 3am, which you can get at any hotels, but the rooms do not insulate from the noise. I asked if there was a night porter to help manage noisy guests the next morning to be told yes. I asked could they not walk around the buildings to manage nuisance guests. I was told in the night porters defence he may not have heard them, which I highlighted was clearly...
