“Loved Aloft!”
Aloft was a beautiful hotel. The bed was more comfortable than mine at home and the room was comfortable and immaculate. The location was amazing for the race I was running.
“Beautiful hotel”
It was a nice and modern hotel overall. Not good for those who are looking for a traditional hotel. It was fairly new and refreshing.
“Will definitely return”
We stayed at the Aloft Hotel Dallas During the Red River Rivalry Weekend. Even thought the hotel was packed we did not hear a sound in our rooms! The staff was always friendly and helpful. The only thing I would like to see would be a full service restaurant. Though I might add the food we ordered from the bar was excellent. Rooms were nice and big and modern. Only thing I did not like is that when you turned on the bathroom light it showed through to the bedroom area. Guess it is part of the loft set up.
“Need help at the front desk”
Front desk was more worried about his Facebook page than helping customers.
“Definately would stay there again”
would recommend to others, clean, great staff, the bar was kicking seemed like the place to be but was to loud. Great work out area, swimming area was nice not huge but for it's location was perfect, conveniently located would stay again if I go back to Dallas.
“See you at the Aloft!!”
Great modern hote,l you don't want to miss. You feel like your coming home to your own NYC loft apartment, with great style & decor. Perfect for a business stay or just a fun weekend getaway. I will stay any chance I get. I love the difference between commercial and pure STYLE!
“Walk to Convention Center”
Took a high school team of ten. The convention center is right across the street. McDonald's is a block away. The hotel is very clean and modern. I loved our room. The bed was firm and comfortable. Other rooms have one glass wall of the shower stall looking out. People with these rooms felt self conscious about taking showers at night with the light on. You'll need a car to get to other restaurants. I would stay here again.
“Aloft, Downton Dallas”
Beautiful hotel with a mox of modern/retro design built in an old warehouse. Very well done. Walking distance to everything in downtown Dallas, safe area, and quiet with a large park next door. Had to pay for daily parking, not in favor of.
“Not quite perfect, but quite good”
This hotel is different from most downtown hotels. It has no plush lobby, obsequious valets, or the other trappings one associates with such hotels. Instead, the floors are bare sealed concrete with occasional inlaid tiles that change color when you step on them. The bar is not separated from the lobby, so the thumping music and the squealing of the hot young things in the bar are clearly audible at the registration desk. The registration desk looks more like the DJ station at a hip nightclub than a hotel registration desk. I had to ask if it was the right place to check in, as there is no signage. The two young men working the desk were dressed casually and were quite friendly and mostly efficient. The room was quite different as well. The sink was designed to look like a porcelain wash basin. Counter space was adequate for a man, but I am not sure women would find it so. The toilet and shower were separated from the rest of the room by a non-locking sliding door. The shower door and wall were clear glass and the shower stall was roomy and clean. An opaque glass allows occupants in the bed area to see into the shower, which could be either exciting or pervy depending on your tastes. A coffee maker was provided and coffee complimentary, but no cups were provided. I asked at the front desk, and they told me to grab a cup from the area where they sell coffee and snacks in the lobby. There were also two complimentary bottles of water, quite shocking for a downtown hotel.
“I would go back...”
The overall hotel was modern with a classy loft atmosphere. Drinks were a bit high, paying $6 for parking that was behind the hotel was a bit annoying, especially when there was only one way into the hotel on the opposite side of the parking lot. Rooms were very sweet - and it was def. worth the money. The crowd was a bit odd for my comfort, but overall, a bad to the bone place to go to get away. I wouldn't suggest it for a "family envirnment feel." It felt more of a party hotel. The room next to us had loud music and loud voices until early hours of the morning, which was a little annoying. (5am noise) Which is why I say its not a family place. For couples, I would recommend it. :)
