“Great Hotel”

We were very impressed & would recommend this hotel highly. I did wish however there were refrigerators in the rooms or microwaves, although I had no need for them on this trip.

“Great rooms & staff - food not great, ridiculous fee for wireless”

Great staff, room itself was clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. All the little bathroom shampoos & stuff are from bath and body works and very nice. Great shower, good water pressure, plenty of outlets in the room. HOWEVER - their restaurant food is pricey and really not very good. Bartender is wonderful, wait staff middle of the road. ALSO - they charge $10 PER DAY if you want hi speed internet aceess???!!!! Good heavens - the $49 econo-lodge has it for free - that is just plain ridiculous!!!

“Hard to find the hotel location”

It was very difficult to find the hotel using only the hotel address. We mapquested the location but we couldn't find the IL 59 road. We lost several times and it was terrible.

“Awful Customer Service”

I made this hotel reservation four months before my stay at the Marriott. I reserved a room for 2 queen beds because I was going to have 2 couples in the room. When I came to check in, the hotel gave me a king bed room. I explained that was not going to work, and they were entirely unsympathetic and told me that I should have gotten there earlier! Wow! They said that they could offer me no solutions and didn't even care that they screwed me over. I explained to them my situation one more time and the lady was rude and snippy, telling me she could not help me. She actually raised her voice at me and told me that I needed to move over because she needed to help other customers. The hotel brought a roll away up to the room, which still didn't help my other couple seeing as how the bed only can fit one person. Unacceptable! The restaurant was understaffed and the servers were not attentive at all. I was very disappointed with the whole experience. The hotel has a great location near the Sears Center but it is not worth it to stay at the Marriott if you want to be at the Sears Center.
