"We were at Borgo Paradise for nearly a week after new years and it was wonderful. I give the facilities and the staff top marks, with a few deductions for the old beds and couch that they hope you might confuse for a queen bed in a "bedroom" that is a living room in what was supposed to be a "three bedroom" apartment. "very special place and great value for money. Parking is easy and the village down the road is also beautiful. This is a perfect location for people who just want to relax and not do too much. Renting a car is a must for a location like this but worth every penny. "

"The young lady who checked us in, I believe Gloria was her name, was very sweet and helpful during our stay. She upgraded us to a suite and it was very comfortable except for a dog that barked during the night,apparently, it belonged to the owners who were not on the property. So other than the dog annoying us during the nights and early mornings it was a comfortable place to stay and close enough to Florence to drive to in about 15 to 20 minutes. Just be careful not to be redirected too much...

"It felt like motel next to a highway. Reception closes at 7pm so I was a bit rushed to check in quickly. After that the lights are switched off and the hotel basically becomes dark - just like the surroundings. Off season most restaurants are closed. The room was generally clean but there were little blood stains and spots on the bed linen. The duvet was simply covered by bed linen and it did not feel very hygienic. Generally I expected more from the property given excellent rankings but...
