Loved everything about the hotel, proximity to everything, cleanliness, room size. Extremely luxurious!! With that said some staff made us feel like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay there. Just one incident involved my daughter who is a type 1 diabetic and was having low blood sugar episode- we asked the person behind the bar for a juice- he had to get the bartender- did not come back for 10 minutes- in the meantime i ran next store to get a soda and she was halfway done by the time bartender came. Then he gave me a lecture for sitting there with a drink. I tried to explain but he kept interrupting and telling me it was not appropriate what I did. I said I would order something else and he turned his back on me. My daughter refused to have drinks there after this. Sad because everything else was great.
The hotel is beautiful in an excellent location on a pedestrian only street close to the Duomo so very quiet. The staff was extreme helpful and organized sightseeing tours for us and restaurant suggestions.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Rodo Hotel from June 20 to 27, 2015 for our honeymoon. The staff was absolutely amazing. Very helpful and caring - especially when we both ended up with the flu and sick in our room for a couple of days.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for seven days in June 2015. It is in a terrific location -- central to everything. The staff is great and very helpful planning day trips, etc. The rooms are comfortable and they serve breakfast until noon. We would happily recommend Room Mate Isabella to our friends.
Got upgraded, 301 Big Room, comfy Bed. Nice decoration, no bathtub, not much view from the Room. For view, you should visit the Top of the tower, grab a drink and enjoy 360' view of the city, bar close at 9pm, however, the door will still open after that. Free Wifi, leave the Room key at reception before you go out.

Firenze Nine is a great hotel with an excellent staff. It's within walking distance of all the major attractions and is off a quiet street. We didn't feel we were in the middle of the city at all. Breakfast is included and it's very good. If you are driving, make sure you use their car meeting option since its not easy to find as its one way and off a side street. We would definitely stay at the hotel again. Highly recommended!
Since 1958 I have stayed at the Beacci. Two years later my husband and I spent our wedding trip here. We have been a visitor here every time we have been in Florence. It's old and has it's quirks but I love it. It's in a 16th century building. It has been modernized and renovated. It is a charming place to stay. It has a lovely roof garden. Breakfast used to be served here but since the hotel has been expanded breakfast is served in a large and attractive breakfast room. I miss breakfast on the roof but expansion required this change. The roof is still open for light meals and drinks. If you are looking for a super modern generic hotel go to another place. If you want charm in the center of the historic district of Florence stay at the Beacci.
The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, or Duomo for short, is one of Italy’s largest churches, and tops the list of places to visit in Florence. The impressive Gothic architecture features an ornate exterior, stained glass windows, and a cavernous interior. Two popes are buried here, and three of the buildings are on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
