Great location for shopping but be prepared for a long walk or Uber ride to the French Quarter and the river. Seamless check-in. The front desk was wonderful. Our original room was noisy, so they switched us to a better one. The hotel is beautiful. Did not however get good advice from the concierge. My husband is a pescatarian - I don't think they know what that is. The dining room had no options for him and neither did some of the restaurants that were recommended. He also didn't tell us that the flowers at the plantation known for the azaleas had stopped flowering a month before. Other than that criticism, I recommend this hotel.

We loved our visit to Hotel Bennett! The wonderful treatment on arrival. Friendly staff. Courtesy drinks on arrival. The rooms were wonderful. Beautiful rooms with great bathrooms. Great service. The cost was high so we stayed on a Monday and Tuesday. The only down sides - the French cafe was talked up, but the breakfast items were not that great. They were okay; expected more from a French bakery. They didn't even heat out chocolate croissant up and it did not taste great cold. They gym was okay, but compared to the rest of the hotel; it didn't match up. Overall, we loved our two day visit and the roof top pool!

My daughter and I LOVED Camella's-the Champagne Room Beautiful bathroom with soaking tub under a chandelier Excellent staff- from daily doormen service to bubble bath brought to the room by the kind staff person. The nighttime manager made us happy with champagne b/c Gabriel's was closed when we got there- she is very guest-oriented! We would love to stay again- it is an outstanding hotel!

Superb property
This hotel lives up to its reputation! Not small, but manages an intimate feel. Service is outstanding. The smallish restaurant is excellent. Rooms are very classy, yet up to date. We’ll be going back soon!

Beautiful rooms and excellent service. We loved that we had some refrigerator space for leftovers or dessert. The bathtub is a great feature, and hard to find in other hotels in Charleston. We will definitely be returning to Hotel Bennett.

Beautiful Hotel in a Beautiful City
This place is beautiful and the staff is beyond helpful and nice. The bellman "Christian" was such a sweet person and would give us things to check out during our stay. Always helpful. The people in this hotel are above and beyond. We didn't, however care for the restaurant. Hopefully we just got them on a bad night. Bring your wallet though, this hotel is very pricey.....for everything.

My husband and I stayed at the Bennett the first weekend of November. Although the hotel was nice and very well located, I came back the first day from outside to find in the bathroom toilet a makeup wipe dirty of my red lipstick! I went to tell the manager and she seemed horrified, she told me that she was taking this incident very seriously, promised me to buy a new lipstick and to keep me posted about the investigations she was doing. In the end she did absolutely nothing! I had to chaise her to ask if she had any news the day after and of course she never sent the lipstick. The idea that someone came to my room while i was outside and used my lipstick is pretty gross and what’s even worse is the fact that the MANAGER, did not care at all! Yes she did offer to change room for us, but our room was fine, the cleaning service…not so much! In the end we got ‘one day free breakfast’ and I am still waiting for my lipstick to come! I won’t ever go there again, and you should think twice before going! Clearly, the manager does not care if “someone” comes to your room and uses your make up! Pretty unprofessional if you ask me! Horrible experience! Terrible costumer service!
