“A great stay”
A warm welcome and congratulations on our wedding anniversary (tipped off by expedia agent), stunning views from the fifth floor over the Danube and city, very clean and spacious room with vey comfortable superking bed. Hotel was spotless and all staff helpful and courteous.
“Outstanding stay in a wonderful city”
Bottom line is if you dont go to Budapest at least once in your life it will be your great loss. As for the hotel none finer non better located. it is the perfect hotel to match the perfect city.
“Excellent value for money”
We felt extremely well looked after.
“Excellent Hotel”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton in Buda. Good location and excellent service. Can heartily recommend it.
“Best View in Budapest”
My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at the Hilton Budapest and we would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the city. The location, in the epicenter of the Castle District, gives you access to many of the most well-known and frequently visited sites in Budapest - while giving you a quiet respite from the busy streets of the Pest side of the Danube. The views of the Matyas Church (next door) and Parliament (opposite side of the river) are truly breathtaking and lovely at dawn and dusk. The staff was polite and helpful - even helping us with a phone call to a local tour company who promised that operators would speak English, but clearly did not.
“Hilton Executive Club - Well Worth It”
You expect high standards from Hilton Hotels and in Budapest they don't disappoint. It's in a great location for the Castle District and the Fisherman's Bastion and gives you the opportunity to explore the area early or late in the day when the tourist crowds aren't too deep (and with Budapest being so popular now that's from about 1030 to 1700). When you venture futher afield it's a relatively easy stroll down to the Chain Bridge and along the river bank or across to the Pest side, but the climb back up is a bit more challenging especially after a day on the hoof! As for the hotel - would definately recommend paying the extra for the Hilton Executive Club. It includes a continental breakfast and access to the lounge at any time of the day where you can help youself to tea/coffee and snacks; and at night there's beers, wines, and spirits as well as additional nibbles and a couple of hot food choices (not a main meal, but something a bit more substantial than cakes). The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating and the room was spacious, clean, with good amenities as you'd expect for a hotel of this standard. The only negative point I'd have to raise would be the bed, which was a bit hard for our liking and the pillows which were a bit flat; however, an additional plump feather pillow was provided on request. Overall, Budapest is a wonderful place with plenty to see and do but with lots of tourists, and the Hilton is a great place to be based for a break.
“Brilliant hotel”
We loved everything about this hotel. It was in a marvellous postion on Castle Hill and we'd upgraded to bedrooms with fantastic views of the Danube and the Parliament opposite. Our rooms were great, very comfortable and spacious and very quiet. The staff were mostly very friendly, especially in the lounge, where we had snacks and drinks every day. The manageress in the breakfast room remembered after only two days that we were meeting our friends down there - considering the very many people there, we were impressed. Only two small points. Breakfast, although extremely good, was expensive and it would have been nice to have the option of a continental breakfast at a cheaper price. Also the reception staff could have been a bit friendlier. The ones I spoke to were polite, but a smile would have been nice. This was terrific value for money and we'll definitely go again.
“Great Hotel”
The Hilton was simply excellent. Modern clean hotel with all services working perfectly. All staff friendly with perfect English.Difficult to fault except possibly Restaurant+ bar prices. Even burger and chips were pricey and drinks were not cheap either. Bottle of wine average for a hotel of this type though.Bar staff all friendly, chatty.Hotel in a lovely area in the castle district next Fishermans Bastion, but a bit isolated at night with only a No10 minibus in and out or a walk down to Moskva ter area.
“top of hill, top in it's class”
budapest is a big city,i was worried about bad weather.if the weather had gone bad it would have still been a fantastic place, close to many of the best spot's.we love to walk, the hills and stairs are harsh.a good work out,i loved it.the view from this hotel is awesome,2nd only to the citadel.with the weather being good a 10 minute walk to the pest side and the chain bridge. the castle district is very safe, this hilton is one of the best.i miss you budapest, you will love it.
“Not Quite 5 Stars”
The Hilton in the Castle District of Budapest is in an ideal location with great views over the city, the service is friendly and efficient and it has excellent facilities. However, the room that we stayed in was plagued by a throbbing, buzzing noise from the corridor all through the night and the room in which our friends stayed had faulty air conditioning and the wardrobe door was broken. This was reported, but the response was so long in coming that I fixed it for them myself! It's a very good hotel, well located and well-appointed, and although we enjoyed our stay, I'd have to say that the Hilton Budapest doesn't quite manage to provide the 5 star luxury normally associated with the chain.
