"Perfect location on the seafront and the lanes just behind. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was really good! I will definitely stay here again! "
"Amazing stay with all the family, dogs and all.
Peaceful, clean, smelt amazing.
Very friendly, couldnt get a better location. Honestly staying in brighton couldnt be much nicer, and using the tesco clubcard vouchers really makes those family moments even better. "
"Had a nice weekend stay at the hotel. Staff friendly, everything I needed in the room and plenty of free parking. Like others have said, the rooms are a bit tired but still comfortable. Would certainly stay again 👍👍"

"This was our first visit to The Grand and we were very pleasantly surprised, especially by the excellent service.
From our first encounter, being greeted as we pulled up in front of the hotel, to the farewell as we pulled away at the end of our stay, everyone was friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. They even went the extra mile to ensure the old car we were traveling in was kept safe and secure. The room itself was very pleasant. We had booked their most basic room as the hotel was full but it was still very nice. We had pre-booked dinner elsewhere but did visit the bar for a drink on returning after dinner and the staff there were great. Breakfast was excellent and the dining room it was served in very elegant. Overall, we were very impressed and will most likely look for an opportunity (or even an excuse) to return for another, longer stay at The Grand. "
"We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "
