“Delightful”

The room was excellent. I was concerned to hear that the valet service were moving my car to some other lot unseen, but it was fine, just fine. The bed was the best I'd slept in all year! The proximity of Cambridge downtown makes for some enjoyable walking. The only caveat I can think of is that this is an older hotel, so the corridors, doors and elevators are thinner and smaller than normal.

“Perfect size & location for wandering Cambridge & Boston”

The Sheraton Commander has the feel of a small, intimate boutique hotel. Great location - a lovely 5 to 10 minute walk to anything you might want or need, including the subway, coffee, shoppes, restaurants, Harvard, the Charles River, even movies. Rooms are cozy & comfortable, everything scaled to feel intimate. A perfect place to stay when you just want to explore. The only negative - breakfast downstairs was unbelievably pricey and nothing really special for the money you pay. Plenty of local places to grab a coffee & nosh to start your day. You could stay in Boston proper and pay more, but then you miss Harvard Square and all it has to offer.

“Great rooms, great location, great price”

Sheraton Commander sits in a charming part of Cambridge right off Harvard Square. You are a couple minutes walk from the action in Harvard Square, including the "T" (subway). You can also walk the beautiful Cambridge neighborhoods over to Brattle street, etc. The hotel has been nicely renovated. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and nicely appointed (four-poster bed, nice flat screen, etc.). Only so-so parts were: bathroom and elevator (both small). But both are relatively petty complaints. For the price, this hotel is hard to beat. (I often stay at The Charles and Inn at Harvard also in the area, for comparison purposes).

“Convinient location, friendly atmosphere”

I was visiting my son at the Harvard University so the hotel location is perfect – close to the campus, and the city metro line. Friendly service from the hotel staff. Rooms with character – clean and well maintained. Will stay again in this location.

This hotel has comfortable beds and is located in a great area with many restaurants and book stores. Apart from that, this hotel does not have much to offer. The rooms weren't cleaned well and you pay for more than what you receive.
