“Excellent Customer Service”
The Windtower Lodge was the best accomodation I have ever had. The breakfast was spectacular with an assortment of choices. Unfortunetly, the coffee is terrible. The service people working at the Lodge were knowledgable and were very helpful with direction and tourist information. They were familiar with the area and recommended some great restaurants and bars. They went out of their way to be sure were made comfortable. The suite was spacious and clean. It was not hard to feel like you were home. The bed was amazing. It was soft and plenty of pillows and blankets. The beautiful view of the mountains made it a perfect location for us. We will return. It was a great experience. So great that we are considering moving to Alberta.
“Cozy place for a mountain getaway!”
This was our second visit to the Windtower, and both visits have been fabulous. Excellent service, beautiful rooms (we have been in the 1 bedroom suites both trips), and delicious breakfast. We will plan to go back next year for sure. Highly reccommended!
“Very comfortable”
Great sleeping on a comfortable bed. The Single Queen room is a bit small though.
“Best free breakfast I have ever had”
The room we had was a little small but nice and clean. It's good enough for just sleeping for the night. I had the best free breakfast I have ever had here. It's great. They put some newspaper and national park information on the bed. That was very nice and helpful for planning our trip.
“I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great clean place to stay”
We stayed in Canmore, AB. This is a great centrally located hotel for those travelling around. It is approximately one hour from Calgary. The customer service was excellent. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was exceptional. The room was extremely cosy and hugh fluffy pillows and comforters. Well maintained and up to date.
“Good value”
This was a great place to stay on the way to Banff National Park. We just had a basic room which was very small but as we were only there for one night it wasn't a big deal. I think it would be very cramped in the Winter with all the ski gear. A cooked breakfast was included. The hotel was upfront about the shortage of man power in Alberta and we appreciated this as it explained a lot about the service we received throughout our vacation.
“Ah The Dreaded Garage Door”
First of all this hotel is a great get away for anybody and highly recommendable. We were given the room over the garage as well (when prompted on expedia request not to have that room and solve the problems). At first it bugged me but by the end of the weekend I barely noticed. As well when I walked into the room it was warm as others had said but adjust some of the thermostats and turn on a couple of fans for an hour while we were out at supper and that problem was solved. I really liked this place and there are somethings that one can do to increase their pleasure but do not let that make you choose against this hotel.
“Great Value and Amazing Surroundings”
Great value for the location. Your 15 minutes to two hours to over seven ski resorts. We stayed in a queen suite. The kitchen had everything to make meals with. You have underground garage ($5 a day) with ski lockers. Great for the winter time, your car stays warm and dry. I will stay here again when I go skiing up there again.
“better than we expected”
For the price and location, and compared with near neighbour lodges, this hotel offers excellent value for money. Staff are friendly and very helpful. This combines the welcome and conviviality of a small hotel but has the amenities of a larger one. The quality of the food in the restaurant was a pleasant surprise, too. Breakfast is well worth a visit; it's not the 'usual' toast and jam but provides a wide range of options from fresh fruit to cooked breakfast
