Property Amenities
The GB Spa combines an indoor pool adorned with tiny royal blue mosaic tiles and a thermal suite offering Laconium, herbal baths, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath/Hammam, reflexology foot baths, steam baths, and experience showers. Beauty treatments employ E'SPA products from the UK - the signature treatment is Hot Stone Massage. There is also a fully equipped gym supervised by a trainer, and a Juice Bar serving freshly squeezed fruit juices and a range of Twining's teas. Through summer Hotel Grande Bretagne's guests can use the open-air rooftop pool.
The Ballroom which can accommodate up to 600, the Golden Rooms which can take a total of 380, the Churchill Room 10, and the Royal Room. The 24-hour business centre comprises three kiosks, each with a desk, telephone, computer and high-speed Internet access (surcharge), while shared facilities include a printer, fax, and photocopier. Secretarial and translation services are available upon request.
Parking is not available on site but is available nearby (surcharge).

Hotel Grande Bretagne, Athens, has 320 guestrooms, all of which have minibars and wired and wireless Internet access (fees apply). Decor features cream colored walls and warm yellow and red fabrics. All rooms have marble bathrooms. Rooms look out over either the internal courtyard decorated with potted palms or Syntagma Square and the Greek parliament.

Dining
GB Corner - Located on the ground floor, overlooking Syntagma Square, this restaurant is popular with hotel guests and well-heeled residents alike. Occupying a double-height space with a mezzanine, it is open daily for lunch and dinner. The signature dish is Dover Sole Meunier with Lemon and Olive Oil.
Winter Garden - Two Corinthian columns in the lobby frame the entrance to the Winter Garden, an atrium space with a stained glass ceiling, potted palms, large mirrors, and two enormous Oriental vases. It remains open all day and serves English breakfasts, light lunches, high tea, and dinner to the accompaniment of piano music, as well as coffee, drinks, and snacks throughout the day. The signature dish is Grilled Chicken Breast with Potatoes, Spinach and Bacon Strips.
GB Roof Garden - Open all year-round, this rooftop restaurant commands splendid views over the city. It serves evening cocktails and dinner, with a menu featuring Greek cuisine and barbecued meat and fish dishes.
Recreation
The picturesque area of Plaka is ideal for a morning or evening stroll. Above Plaka, just one km from the hotel, stands the Acropolis, the most important monument to the Ancient Greek world and a must-see for first-time visitors to the city.

The hotel lived up to the 5-Star expectations - luxuriant and perfectly placed.

J'ai passé trois nuits fantastiques dans une suite Deluxe de 60m2 à l'hôtel grande bretagne fin juillet 08. Cet hôtel est absolument somptueux avec un service de très grande qualité et des prestations dignes des plus grands palaces dans le monde. Après une visite d'athènes, et notamment du Pathènon à proximité de l'hôtel, un saut dans la piscine sur le toît est un vrai régal, de même que les petits déjeuners face à l'Acropole. Bref, un séjour de rêve dans une ville étonnante et attachante.
“Athens Grande”
Hotel was great, as to be expected for price. Stayed there 15 yrs ago and has been updated since Olympics in 2004. Great view of the Parthenon from room terrace makes the price worth it. Concierge got us into great Relais and Chateau Restaurant.

This is the finest example of staying in a palace. The rooms are unbelievably beautiful. Wonderful location and worth the extra expense.

The hotel was very nice and had excellent service. From the airport I would suggest using the metro (subway) because it is quick plus you come out right at the hotel. The spa and manicure and pedicure service was speechless. I recommend this service. Make appointments in advance. Roof top restaurant offered great service and a nice view of the city. I also recommend scheduling any tours through the hotel for better pricing.

“Athens Best Hotel”
Billed as Athens' best hotel and lived up to its billing. A converted city mansion tastefully yet elegantly furnished. Fantastically located in the centre of the city which meant that all the major attractions were within walking distance. The rooftop restaurant had a sublime view of the Acropolis which alone made it worth frequenting. The only grumble was that the service in the restaurant could have been better.

“Best place to stay in Athens”
Perfect location to see all the sights. Friendly staff and great decor. Room was clean, comfy and very posh. The spa was great, with a large indoor pool and 5 sauna/steam rooms. The footspa was perfect after a day up the parthenon. The roof top pool had a beautiful view, great service and an amazing location to relax. Breakfast was expensive, but had a great choice and kept you full untill dinner time. The roof top restaurant had an amazing view, which explained the prices, but the food was only average. It is worth the price and a great experience.
