“Wonderful visit.”
This is a beautifully refurbished hotel. It was quiet and very clean. I was very comfortable in the room and the staff I was in contact with was helpful and very courteous. This was my second stay at this hotel and I would certainly come back again.
“The place to stay in Annapolis”
We have stayed at the Governor Calvert House--one of the Historic Inns of Annapolis--several times and have always enjoyed the experience. The location can't be beat--on State Circle opposite the capital. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the rooms are sizeable and comfortable. We will always stay at the Calvert House.
“Nice and GREAT location”
Great Location. Nice rooms. We stayed at the Gov. calvert inn it was very nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful with all our requests. Will definitely go back :)
“Great location; great room”
Staff very helpful, central location within historic part of town. Wonderful experience.
“Location, location, location.”
This is an excellent place to stay when visiting Annapolis. The location is handy to everything in the downtown, plus the shops, bars and restaurants on West St. The only downside is parking. $24/day valet with unlimited in-out. You don't need a car, however. I did not take mine out for three days. Nice pub and restaurant in the basement. Free WiFi. Check in is off site, and can be a bit cumbersome the first visit, but not a big deal. Don't forget the history of these very old, but nicely renovated and maintained buildings. Sadly, the great tavern that was once here is now a Starbuck's. If you like Starbuck's, there is one right here.
“Wonderful Bargan in Annapolis”
Wonderful stay in Annapolis. My husband and I travel to Annapolis once a year for a weekend. We love the Art , Music and Food. Our stay at the Maryland Inn was exceeptional . The price was right, the front staff helpful, the location was perfect and the bed was comfortable. The room was a little warm however the Inn is old and considering everything elese it was a great stay!
“Great Getaway Location”
Definitely nice for the one night we spent there. There are three properties, and we stayed in the Robert Johnson House. All are very close to Main Street and all the restaurants and shops. Hotel staff was very nice and happy to help. Room was comfortable, a bit small, but that was expected. My only complaint was that the AC was a bit noisy. But given the heat, we easily made due. Also, regarding parking and the Valet offered by the hotel, while a bit expensive $24 vs $16 in the public garage), is definitely worth it if you're there during a high travel time. It beats the garage in terms of convenience and is only slightly more expensive. All in all, we would, and probably will, go back.
“I will return”
Historic Inns was a fantastic place to stay. We roomed in the Maryland House which was outstanding. It was especially nice becuase the Treaty of Paris restaurtant and Drummer's Pub were located in the same building. After cocktails in the Pub, we dined in the Treaty of Paris and had the best romantic dinner in a long time, We sat by the fire. The entrees and apple dumpling dessert were delicious. We are already planning our next trip.
“A nice stay in historic Annapolis”
Very nice, quaint, historic, haunted, friendly, 50 characters
“Quaint downtown historic inn”
This hotel was great! Perfect location, beautiful historic inn and the room was perfectly clean and quaintly decorated. The bathroom was up to date and the perfect size as well. Be sure to check your bed size- though a double is not small for 2 people if you are both tall you might want to upgrade to a queen or king!
