“enjoyable and restful stay”
I decided to stay overnight while attending a 2-day conference being held at the hotel. Althought several other conference attendees decided to stay at lower-priced hotels in the same area, I enjoyed being in the same facility. The hotel made it easy for us to purchase a delicious noon buffet lunch and carry it back to our meeting room to eat (as we had the opportunity to have an eating meditation during the lunch break).
“Great stay”
Everything was great. Only wish there was a "free breakfast" as many other hotels at this price point offer.
“Comfort at its best”
This hotel was extremely well kept and very comfortable. The beds are amazing and the bathroom was very clean. The only thing I could say negative was that the bathroom fan in room 317 didn't seem to work and alot of steam built up in the bathroom. Everything else was fantastic and pleasant.
“nice but warm”
A bit slow checking in, but the room was excellent!! The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed on the club level and the lounge was convenient and the breakfast was much more than expected. I like pleasant surprises. The only real tarnish to our stay was that our a/c put out hot air. We were uncomfortably warm in our room but I'd definitely stay again. I'm sure they'll get it repaired.

“Wonderful stay but...”
Had I not brought my reservation receipt, we would have been given a room with 2 queen beds instead of the 1 king bed I had booked. Receptionist did upgrade us to the Club level with a king bed room after I showed the reservation receipt - not sure how their computer had 2 queen beds in their system. Once in our upgraded room we had a wonderful time - quick service on the phone that did not work, the TV reception that was extremely fuzzy, and extra towel/pillows. The snacks and breakfast in the club lounge was very nice - we really did have a wonderful stay and will definatly go back - with my hotel reservation receipt with me!
“Would recommend”
Very nice location, easy to get to and within walking distance of a mall and some fast food restaurants. Front desk staff was very accommodating. Maid service was a bit of a disappointment as they didn't replace the coffee packets after the first day. Otherwise, I would recommend.
“Adequate stay in Ann Arbor”
It is probably the nicest big chain hotel in Ann Arbor. Although it isn't as swanky as most Starwood hotels usually are, it is certainly adequate for a short-term stay in Ann Arbor. The main reservation I have about this hotel is that they are often sold-out which makes early check-ins (anytime before 3PM) not possible most of the time.
“Service needs to improve significantly”
Check in took 20 minutes. After a 30 hour journey, involing 2 flights and one taxi need to get to the room in minutes. Check in at the spg properties has always been a breeze. At breakfast, the attendant was in a hurry to clear the buffet. Not one day but for all the 6 days I stayed there !!! They programmed my key only for 4 days !!! Why would anyone do something as weird as this ?
