“A good base from which to explore”
We enjoyed our stay at the Westcord Art Hotel. A 10 minute bus ride from the main central station with bus stops located right outside the hotel which made it really easy. Bus services 22 and 48 are the ones to use and they run regularly (every 10/15 minutes) from 6am to midnight and then hourly during the small hours. Not much around the hotel other than a BP garage and a train year. Certainly not the most picturesque of areas but absolutely fine to use as a base for exploring - you won't check in for the views from the hotel! The room was very spacious and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in - tremendous. One negative was the prices of the bar and resaurant in the hotel. Really expensive - a bit of a rip-off - one look at the menu made us decide we'd eat and drink elsewhere.
“A little out of centre art”
astrid at reception was superb. room (226) was just what we wished for. The evening meal we had in the dining room- despite the lateness of the hour was excellent- for service and quality. However we did feel that the buffet breakfast was a little dissappointing

Super comfy bed, amazing service and great transport links to the central! Only complaint was my view but that didn't bother me really!
“Great Stay at Westcord Art Hotel”
friendly staff and helpful.on a good transit route ten minute bus ride to central station. room was large nice bathroom with shower and tub separate toilet. transit and attraction passes available at front desk.
“Excellent hotel”
This hotel is a 10 minute bus ride out of the centre of Amsterdam but you can buy 1 day, 2 days, etc bus passes at the hotel which save quite a bit. Extremely pleasant and helpful reception, bar and restaurant staff. Buffet breakfast in the Gallery restaurant, but the Art bar/restaurant serves until an hour later and various breakfasts for much lower price and the portions are a decent size. Only ate breakfast in the hotel as dinner a little pricey. Our bedroom was large & clean if somewhat unusual. The bathroom has two glass walls! - but the toilet is in a separate sub room of its own with proper walls, thankfully. The bed is on a dais and when you are half asleep it is easy to forget and stumble up/down the step even though there is a small light each side of the bed on the down part of the step itself. Toiletries replaced every day not just there for the 1st day as in some hotels. Reception will also lend you an adapter if you forget yours and provide a complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, etc if you have forgotten them. Overall a very pleasant stay.
“Glad I chose this hotel”
Although the 4 star rating seems slightly generous the hotel overall was excellent. It is situated about a 10 min tram ride from central station. The tram stop is immediately outside the hotel and runs every 15mins so it really is very convenient. The hotel is situated in a nice neighbourhood. Staff overall were most obliging and in the bar come restaurant they were excellent, most helpful, always positive and cheerful. Breakfast is OK, with English or continental available, although the English was slightly limited, but overall acceptable. The three of use, my wife, self and daughter all enjoyed our stay here. I would return again.
“Great base for exploring Amsterdam at good price”
The brochure said the hotel was a 10-minute bus ride, and it was just that - very convenient route from central station, rooms very comfortable. Breakfast not tried as quite expensive at 17 euros, but easy to hop on bus and find cosy cafe. Nice bar on site. No complaints at all, and staff very helpful. Would definitely go back.

By accident I rated the hotel 1 out of 5 on each subject!! I did not mean to do that as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the hotel deserves 5/5!!
“we will definitely return to this hotel”
we had a 4 night stay at this hotel and it was very comfortable and had everything you could wish for - we were in the new wing and when we returned after going out the room was always pristine. Found the staff to be excellent - special thanks to Esther for making us feel at home. No. 48 bus stops outside the hotel but if you walk to the next stop at BP garage and get a No. 22 its quicker and cheaper

Everyone at the hotel was fabulous. Answered all my questions promptly. I will stay there again.
