“Mint Hotel”
Excellent, almost new hotel. Great location, great facilities and great view. Very clean rooms. Friendly and professional staff.
“Excellent! Would definitely stay here again.”
Four of us ( a couple and 2 friends) stayed here for a 2 day break between Christmas and new year. We arrived at the hotel earlier than the stated check in time and the very friendly staff reserved us a city view room (well worth the wait) and looked after our bags while we went sight seeing. Everyone receives a hot cookie when checking in! As the hotel is relatively new everything was a high standard - from the rooms, the check in area and the sky lounge is a must. It was easy to travel from the airport to central station by train and then it is about a three minute walk to the hotel from the train. The hotel is ideally situated and I would definitely stay here again.
“Wonderful Stay”
Well I had read all the reviews on trip advisor about this hotel, the amazing stuff and the amazing location and we weren’t disappointed. Located just a mere 3 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal station, we checked early (I had informed the hotel that we would be arriving early), our rooms were ready and perfectly clean (we did ask for a city view which we got, after reading a few reviews of noisy rooms facing the railway). We had amazing view of the canal and even though we were on the 3rd floor, we heard no noise from trains or anybody else (well apart from a few noisy boys walking down the corridor). The cookie upon arrival was indeed very welcomed after being hungry. The toilets and sheets were clean, the imac was brilliant-we watched TV and went on the internet. It’s a very good feature. The breakfast buffet is on the expensive side at 24euros, but we had our tea and muffin from the lobby bar. The waitress there (Bonker D, I think) was absolutely amazing...she deserves a raise! She was wonderful and everything came on time. There wasn’t many cafes nearby to just have coffee but the lobby was fine. Amsterdam is very expensive and we were shocked to find out that they charge you for your sauces when you have chips! Very surprised! We ate in one evening and the food was ok. I had the Malfidine and this was wonderful-though a tad too much in portion size. Overall a very pleasant stay, do make sure you do the excursion to Belgium and the grand Holland tour...very good
“Fantastic hotel for great price”
brand new hotel, apple macs in bedroom , loads of great facilities, staff are brilliant and it was really cheap ! best hotel we stayed in whilst in Amsterdam
“Great bussines-like accomodation”
Great hotel. The building is new and the rooms are very clean. It's within walking distance from the central railway station and one tram station away from the Dam square. Most of the hotels in the Amsterdam center are old buildings, so I would definetely opt to stay here at any time. It's more bussiness-like, so if you like dorm-room atmosphere with parties and booze, than this hotel is not for you.
“Fantastic place - arguably the best in Amesterdam”
Location location! My 2 friends and I were pleasantly surprised at Centraal station that the hotel is only two blocks away. The place is busy at 11am on a Thursday with travellers from all over europe (one of us speaks spanish and italian). There was a hiccup at check-in when we realized our Queen deluxe has two twin beds instead of two queens as advertised (why call it Queen deluxe then?). After a brief negotiation, we were upgraded to the East Dock Suite (one bedroom suite on the top floor with a gigantic private deck with panoramic view of the city) gratis!! The attendants are well educated, polite and helpful. One of them is drop-dead gorgeous. Thanks to their help, we had great rest for the next 4 nights and always knew where to go in the city for fun and food. Free wifi + a nice iMAC in the bedroom provides entertainment when we stay in. Room service is prompt. Breakfast and minibar items are quite expensive though. Stick with wine and Heineken, which seems to be a national treasure. Thanks to this wonderful place, my friends and I began debating whether we should request a work transfer to Amsterdam :-)
“Big 50 Birthday Bash”
a group of 8 stayed in 4 rooms at this hotel. I had asked for city view rooms but there were none left. I had also heard rooms looking out over the railway were very noisy so I was happy to take rooms on an inner courtyard. Facilities in the room were very good and it was great having the imac. All the toiletries were 'White Company' so this was a very nice touch. It was my sisters birthday and I asked at reception if we could get a cake. I was taken to see the chef and he agreed to make one for us. We had the most beautiful meal at the hotel and the staff blew up balloons for us. The wine we chose was Pinot Grigio and even though it was the least expensive on the winelist, it was very good indeed. At the end of the meal, they brought out the cake and sang happy birthday and the icing on the cake was that we didnt have to pay for it!!! The only complaint I and my sisters have is that housekeeping left a lot to be desired. Our room was tidied up but I noticed a remarks card had been filled in by a previous guest from the previous week. In one of the other rooms, the tea and coffee packs were not replenished and the chambermaid just burst into the room and started to clear up when they were still getting ready to go out. Apart from that, all staff were really helpful and friendly. We would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay and it is in a great location
“Briliant Hotel would reccommed to anyone”
Everybody was very helpful, friendly, & smart. It was situated in the perfect location. would reccommend this hotel to anyone. Free internet access in the rooms, free use of safe, sewing kit, ironing board provided. didnt need to worry about a thing!! Lovely sky bar & reception area.
“I'd go back in a minute”
Great Hotel - Great Location - Across the Street from the train station
“Throroughly enjoyed!”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the new double tree. The IMAC computer and TV in one was a great sight when we entered our room. The 11th floor bar and terrace was lovely. Right next to central station.
