The front desk staff was not very friendly or happy to be there. They were nice but I believe due to a wedding party being particularly hectic the atmosphere felt off. There was an altercation on the lobby between guests.We were supposed to have a marina view from our room and instead ended up looking at the waterway. The room was decent but didn't at all feel like a $400 a night place to stay for our anniversary. It was clean and the bathroom was actually very nice and our favorite part of the room. The pool was too crowded to enjoy so we skipped that but no fault of the hotel of course. I wish we would have had a better experience but it was an off weekend. Maybe we will try again another time and upgrade.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at the Ellie Beach Resort. We enjoyed the adult pool, room size, and view from the balcony. The family pool and slides were great, too.
