The Amanda’s location within the old city walls makes it ideal for visiting the main attractions besides being close to the sea front and promenade.We loved the charms of the 1950’s furnishings and fittings including photographs and other artefacts depicting Istanbul’s history. Our room was extremely comfortable with lovely pristine bedding and beautiful towels. The friendly reception staff gave us great advice about how to see all the sights on our list. We also loved the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed breakfast with a great views of the sea and Blue Mosque - only topped at night when the Blue Mosque is magically transformed by lightning. The evening menu has lots of choice at a reasonable price while the range at breakfast includes a mix of traditional local foods. If we return to Istanbul the Armada Hotel will be our first choice to book.

The room was clean and staff was was excellent the spa was very good and pool was amazing however the fan in the toilet didn’t work and the bath sometime wouldn’t stop after closing but the hotel was amazing and worth comming back to

Cleaning the toilet is very poor with mold buildup inside the shower and around the lavatory, that's all the problem of the hotel, if not I'll give them five stars. The staff is excellent and professional. The breakfast is A-level, but please get a cleaner who cares, and takes pride in it.

My wife and I spent several days here. I like to start out with the good stuff. The location, in old town is great. Walking distance to everything. The hotel. To start, its not a 5 star hotel in any stretch of the imagination. Maybe 3 star at best. Rooms are tiny, nothing fancy here.. No space for any of your personal items in the bathroom on the vanity in the deluxe rooms. switched to a family room (2 beds) and it had much more room.. or as much as you were going to get at this hotel. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was just OK. Nothing special, cold creamy eggs, no sausage, bacon, etc. YES the view is nice! So, in the end, set your expectations down to a 3 star hotel, with some of the smallest rooms you've ever stayed in, and you will be just fine!

Stayed with kids , The facility is nice : clean housekeeping is great, front desk ( redwan, Burhan and shamsuleddin) were awsome also were bellmen Mohamed , sameh and others .. It is near everything , very close to sultan Abdul hamid II tomb. Between bazaar and blue mosque .. by the tram station. The only thing is the queen/king bed should be more comfier …the breakfast could have some improvement.. u might like it - we will say ok for breakfast 3.5/5 other than that I like it and I will be back … Again in total it scores 9.5/10

Gorgeous location: outstanding views out of the main hustle of a large city. Staff were superlative, just the appropriate amount of discernment. All my needs/requests were met swiftly. The restaurant(s) food were quite good, particularly Novitek. I did not partake of breakfast. However, the wine menus in restaurants could be expanded. My room location was exceptional with views of the Bosphorus beyond the pool. I enjoyed the pool area, excepting for the unruly children shouting and clamoring at my one visit. While the parents are responsible, staff might suggest to them to behave in a more appropriate manner. The spa was similarity quite good, albeit of spa of this class I would have expected a more luxurious waiting/lounge area. In sum, a sumptuous location and venue. In all instances, the staff will do their utmost to smooth any edges you might find.
