Whidbey Island Pet-friendly Vacations

I booked a room for 3 adults and 1 child for 2 nights. Check in confirming 4 people. Our room had all amenities for 2 people. Kitchenette, towels, robes, pillows, blankets all for 2 people. Nothing to wash dishes with. Just a teeny bit of dish soap. Bathroom amenities such as soap and lotion. All for 2 people. Went to front desk with list of items. Was told it’s a room for 2. She said everyone steals the items and they don’t replace them. I pointed out our reservation is for 4 as my confirmation listed and confirmed at check in. She said she doesn’t have any of the items we were asking for. She did have towels, ONE pillow and blanket. Oh and soap. She said we can get paper plates and plastic silverware from the snack area. She said to come back tomorrow and talk to day shift. We did. They were already gone by the time we got to the front desk ! The pool area was clean looking. The hot tub by the parking lot had bubbles galore. Tha is usually a sign the chemicals are “off”. Staff was walking around loudly complaining about management. That’s uncomfortable ! Our frustration was not having basic items for 4 people. Staff shrugging it off like it was not their problem. I would have thought they would have offered to have them brought go to our room the next morning or asked us to come to the office to pick up. Either way would have been great. We get it that the front desk only has so much on hand at the moment. What happened to us was more of a management issue
