The bathroom was lovely, a large shower with rainfall head. Very deep bath that we used on 2nd day. A great menu and restaurants to choose from. The bar was so welcoming with a great whiskey selection for myself and cocktail selection my partner loved. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our stay Matfen Hall was excellent and I highly recommend. We didn’t use the spa facilities this time but definitely will on our return. Towel drier was luke warm, hence bathroom was cold continuously. I appreciate electricity prices, but I think for a 4 star hotel charging circa £200 per night this situation should be more than embarrassing. I would also consider a good carpet cleaning throughout the hotel (including the rooms) as their current condition is well below satisfactory.
