It’s once in a lifetime experience. Top tier luxuriance experience. Perfect for couples. Almost no crowd. Most professional and kind staff. Would definitely recommend.

The best feature of this property, by far, were the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Very, very friendly. They made our stay a pleasure. The property, on the other hand, not so great. The AC in the living space did not work, there was little to no water pressure in the shower, the door separating the space was broken, and there were general things in and around the room that showed there may be little budget/attention to upkeep. At one point, all the power went out in the evening. It returned pretty quickly and I don't know if it was completely the property's responsibility; it was just very disconcerting. We found the general atmosphere very quiet and uneventful. There wasn't much happening at the resort. It was as if we were in a retirement village/library. There were one or two shows a night but during the day...not much was going on. Plan excursions for daytime fun. Now, if you're looking for peace and quiet during the day. This is your place. I don't blame the property for this but it's worth noting that that the beach was overwhelmed with some sort of vegetation. It wasn't seaweed and reminded me of sea moss. It was every where and in great abundance. It made walking close to and entering the water uncomfortable. While we will visit DR again and hope to encounter staff as spectacular as they were, we won't revisit this property.

Resort was super clean, staff were very friendly, amenities wonderful. Do not skip the spa; the hydrotherapy circuit was so relaxing. We would absolutely return. Skip the tour they offer at the beginning of your stay, it is a sales pitch for an expensive travel club that takes several hours.
