« I booked this hotel for my anniversary on Sept 1st for one night and I paid about $520 and I checked in at 4:30pm. Unfortunately I received a phone call from back home edmonton at around 7:30pm that my mother ended up in the hospital and of coursed I packed everything and left for 8pm to go back home. I talked to the staff at the front desk about this very special and unfortunate situation - and since I used the room for less than 4 hours I asked if they could do anything for me for the future...

« This place was a more affordable (but still not exactly a bargain!) place to stay right in Banff! You checkin at a fancier hotel down the street and they give you your keys and then you drive over to The Dorthy Motel. It had 2 nice sized beds, a microwave, a small fridge (no freezer area), coffee pot/coffee and a tea kettle. The bathroom had lots of counter space and the shower was great! « Other than the kitchen oven missing the bottom tray barrier between the oven space and the lower storage drawer our stay was wonderful. We stayed in the same unit last year and noted that this oven problem was present last year. »
