"SureStay is a hotel that we will be keeping on our places to stay while in Castlegar! The rooms were updated, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The air conditioning worked like a charm which was great as the temperatures were heating up during our stay. The staff were top notch - friendly, super accommodating and very welcoming - and any time we needed anything, they were happy to oblige really quickly (soap refill, extra towels and garbage bags, etc.). We liked SureStay so much that we decided to stay an extra day so we could get another day of riding in the area! There were only a couple suggestions for improvement on an otherwise great few days - the complimentary breakfast was a bonus but some of the items should be checked for best before dates or freshness (yogurt/muffins) and the tables should be periodically wiped down (or provide cleaning materials for guests to do it themselves?). Overall, it's a great place to stay for a few days and we will be sure to book it the next time we're in Castlegar."

"I would stay here again. The front steps to the hotel are on a bit of a downhill slope and I tripped walking out one day heading to the Safeway next door. I was able to regain my footing but something to think about for others. The parking isn't the best with Mr. Mike's next door but we were always able to find a spot when coming back to the hotel"

Villager's Inn

"The Villagers Innis a diamond in the rough. Although the property is older it has a cozy homelike feel to it. Mary, the proprietor, is very friendly and accommodating and the stay was very nice overall! One the highlights is the mascot Mei Mei, a friendly black Cat that comes to great you at the door. I like the Villageers Inn because it is affordable, quiet and welcoming."

"Everything was great with our stay except the first night (Thursday) was karaoke night in the pub from 9pm until close, and our room was right above the pub. We were warned going in that it can be noisy, so we weren’t surprised. At least the one singer sounded a lot like Elvis! The other two nights were much quieter. Great location. Huge room."
