Kanuka Loft, the place to come and relax

  • Ceci est le refuge de vacances privé parfait. Situé au milieu des pentes couvertes de brousse de la péninsule de Te Wahapu, sans voisin en vue, à côté d'une vaste réserve de brousse avec de belles vues, une vie d'oiseaux abondante et à seulement 7 km du canton historique de Russell.
    Kanuka Loft est un cadre très calme et paisible. Un endroit idéal pour venir et ne rien faire, mais avec tout ce que la baie des îles a à offrir.
    Le Loft est au-dessus d'une grande grange en bois désaffectée. Construit avec du bois fraisé à la main, il dispose de vastes terrasses pour la vie en plein air. Le salon / salle à manger décloisonné est spacieux et confortable avec une cuisine entièrement équipée. Il y a deux chambres, une avec un lit queen et l'autre avec deux lits simples. Il y a une pompe à chaleur pour l'hiver, une buanderie et un grand parking.
    Remarque: L'accès au Loft se fait uniquement par l'escalier extérieur - le rez-de-chaussée est inoccupé et le Loft est le deuxième étage complet du bâtiment.

The loft is a gem hidden among the trees, so private and clean. A weekend away to just relax and do absolutely nothing.Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend.

We loved our stay at the loft. It’s even better than the pictures. A cosy place to stay in winter and would be beautiful and airy in summer. Short drive from Russel. Would love to come and stay again!

Secluded Beautiful Property

We turned off the road onto a drive that filled us with anticipation. We arrived at The Loft and were not disappointed. A wonderful upper floor setting with a split level rear balcony giving excellent views. You feel as though you are in the middle of nowhere. Very well appointed and clean - we had everything we needed. Russell is a short drive away and a very interesting place with walk trails, museum and some excellent restaurants cafes. We visited early March. Used the car ferry to Opua a few times - no waiting although could anticipate that may be different in peak season. Have no hesitation in highly recommending this property. As indicated in description there are external steps / stairs to access this property and once inside lounge level to bedrooms / WC are also on a split level.

Spacious, relaxing and beautiful view too!

This is just what we were looking for! It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great and we enjoyed the peaceful serenity and amazing views including some spectacular sunsets! A very much appreciated break away from a busy life.

Tranquil Getaway

Lovely private spot amongst the trees with sea views. This is a great spot if you need a recharge but also very convenient if you want to partake in all the activities the area has to offer. Thank you!

Peaceful property, surrounded by beautiful birdsong. This is the place to come to heal your soul and recover from city stresses. Early evening sun coming in gives plenty of time for book reading. Very highly recommended.

Stunning views, excellent location with privacy whilst less than 10 mins drive to Russell. Kanuka Loft is a relaxing and rejuvenating space in a fantastic area.

Utterly blissful

Very highly recommendable property. The view, the privacy and the birdsong make this place very special. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. We were welcomed by Anna and Dave who live just down the hill and were very helpful and accomodating. We enjoyed the local bush tracks and the drive to Russell was very quick and easy. This place is a find !

Amazing view and location, beautiful place to stay

We had such a lovely stay, the view is incredible and the house is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Being located in such a peaceful setting but close still to Russell, we felt very relaxed when we left and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back :)

'A PERFECT HIDEAWAY'

Just lovely. Very welcoming and relaxing. The views are great and beautiful bush all around. Like I say The Perfect Hideaway. Laundry facilities would have been good. Loved our stay and felt sad leaving.

The perfect retreat

A beautifully appointed boutique property surrounded by native bush and stunning sea views. The Loft was well equiped with all the amenities and a fully functioning kitchen. Loved the relaxing vibe and bird song. Would highly recommend.
