"This property was perfect for our three couples group. The kitchen is very well stocked, It was well appointed and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and welcoming. The hosts were available and quick to reply. Getting to/from the parking lot is a little bit of a walk but they provide a wagon for help and an elevator if needed. Highly recommend!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at this property! It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and featured a wonderfully equipped kitchen complete with a gas stove and gas grill.Even though Hurricane Lowell hit during our visit—meaning we spent more time indoors than planned—the house made for a cozy and relaxing retreat. One of our favorite features is the living room that opens completely onto the lanai, allowing us to spend hours enjoying the fresh breeze and the soothing sounds of the surf.The location is fantastic, offering a very easy walk to the beach, and to top it all off, we met some truly delightful neighbors. We couldn't have asked for a better getaway!"

Delightful Historic Cottage Steps from Poipu Beach A/C. No hurricane damage!

"It was great. House is 80 yards from the beach in a fantastic location. It’s a very cute large 2 bedroom cottage with a screened in porch and a full kitchen. It was furnished in eclectic Hawaiian decor with great books and everything was comfortable. We were there 10 days, and had breakfast there everyday but one, some lunches and barbecued 3 times. There is a great local fish market . There are many good local restaurants in walking distance or a short drive. Closest restaurant is Brennecke’s (ahi tuna sandwich 4 star) and our favorite was Living Foods. 3 young woman’s open a bakery from 7 to 10 in front of Brennecke’s and at first I balked at 10 a pastry until my wife and I shared it and it was incredible. Walking east towards the grand Hyatt is a good walk, 3 mile round trip, walking west towards spouting horn is 6 mile round trip. Poipu beach is great for kids and adults and as you walk further in front of Marriott is great snorkeling and then the beach in front of the Sheraton fun larger waves. Each resort has a bar and good food. The cottage comes with a membership to local pool, gym and exercise classes and more great food and drinks. Best drink all week was a Lemon Drop at Brennecke’s."

"We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this property again if we came back to Kauai. The property is well equipped, with everything we needed for cooking, sleeping and hanging out. The ocean is visible and audible across the street, and it is very easy to access Poipu beach, where several sea turtles haul up late afternoon until they leave in the early morning. There is also usually also one monk seal around on the beach - they tend to arrive in early morning and leave late afternoon. A large part of Poipu beach is sheltered and suitable for children to hang out in the ocean. A hot dog stand/shaved ice store in within walking distance, as is a surf shop and fish restaurant. Any other shopping (souvenirs or food) will require a short car ride. We hiked, walked along the beachfront, hung out with the seals and turtles, and drove to Waimea Canyon. The host was helpful and communicative. Its a great location and a very nice property."

"I would just second all of the positive comments by the prior guests in their VRBO reviews of this well-maintained property in a beautiful, convenient location. But I'll emphasize two things that stood out to me. First, the easy and responsive communication with our host, Ian. He was quick to respond to messaging, answering with a phone call - so refreshing these days! And quick to address two small issues. Second, to relate what a pleasure it was in the morning to sip coffee and enjoy our bowl of cereal from the screened-in front porch - enjoying the feel of the sea breeze, the sound of the ocean surf a short distance away and the view of the boogie boarders riding the waves. Can't imagine a much better experience on this magical island."
