"One night stay. Property is being refurbished following a fire in one of the blocks, so, as its the road facing block that burned, when you turn up it looks like a building site. However they are open, using the unaffected blocks at the rear. The room was well appointed and clean. But the bathroom really needs updating. It works well enough, but looks dirty, but I think it's just worn beyond making it clean, IYSWIM."

"We had a wonderful stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire place was thoughtfully done and easy from start to finish. You can tell a lot of thought went into creating a place the feels warm and welcoming rather then just a rental. We were a group of 8 adults and a toddler. The bedrooms were large and the way the house was laid out provided plenty of privacy. Note, to anyone looking to rent as a previous review sited, the house is remote (an hour plus to Bar Harbor) but that ’s not a knock. Sitting at the fire pit overlooking the cove and gazing at the stars was so peaceful!"

"This was our second time at this wonderful place. The location is great for Down East adventure and the house itself has a great yard. The house is beautiful. We and our dogs loved it and we will definitely come back again."

"The location of this property is excellent with the best view on Pigeon Hill Bay! It's a close driving distance to numerous preserves with great hiking trails and Pigeon Hill Preserve is just a short walk up the road.The bay offers protected waters for kayaking and viewing an abundance of wildlife such as seals, bald eagles, herons and numerous other water birds. Watching the local lobster boats is also a treat. Karl, the host, keeps great communication and is happy to be contacted should there be any questions or concerns.The property is clean, appointed well and well maintaned, We've done vacation rentals for many years and this is our favorite!"

"This was a wonderfully secluded location! Quite a ways from the nearest larger town and extremely quiet. We really enjoyed our stay during our group trip and made a day trip into Acadia as part of our time there. Steuben and Milbridge are both very small, cute towns that are nearby. We enjoyed this being our home base for adventuring and were grateful to be outside of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor."
