Wonder View Inn - Bar Harbor Collection

8/10 Good

"Overall happy with our stay. Registration process on site was easy; room was very comfortable with a lovely view of Frenchmans Bay from the small balcony (partial view from inside). We didn't take advantage of some amenities shared with the adjacent Bluenose Inn since so much to see and do in the area, but nice that it was available. Very timely and friendly response to issue with in-room coffee maker. Would have been more comfortable had there been a bathroom fan to exhaust the shower steam/moisture. The clerk at checkout seemed impositioned to have to address issue with the room heat we had experienced our last night as well as recurrent coffee maker issue: unfortunate as the remainder of our five night stay was very enjoyable."

Terramor Outdoor Resort

8/10 Good

"We thoroughly enjoyed our glamping experience, though there were several areas for improvement. On the positive side, the tent was incredibly spacious and comfortably accommodated our entire family. We particularly appreciated having an en-suite bathroom that was larger than many hotel bathrooms we encountered on our trip. The property itself is beautiful, and we enjoyed the lodge, the pool, the jacuzzi, and the overall scenery and ambiance. However, there were a few drawbacks. The shower in our tent felt somewhat grimy, and the staff across the property seemed burnt out and largely unhelpful. We also experienced issues with our dining at the lodge, where our food was initially served cold, necessitating a remake. We were disappointed to find that the pool closes for children at 8:00 p.m.—a policy that was not disclosed in any of our booking documentation—and it was enforced by staff who seemed uncomfortable with the requirement. Additionally, the firewood provided for our private fire pit was too moist to light, and we were not provided with kindling. Finally, our tent (A-3) faced the busy highway leading to Acadia National Park; the traffic noise was very noticeable, even with earplugs, starting around 7:00 a.m. While we didn't have a bad stay, these issues kept the experience from being as great as it could have been."

Edenbrook Motel

10/10 Excellent

"The property sits in a beautiful residential area that backs up to houses making it feel like a bed and breakfast. The room was clean and very cute. Staff was fine. We only interacted with one woman who rolled her eyes and was less than kind when my travel partner told her she had a service animal with her."

Acadia Ocean View Hotel

8/10 Good

"From a picture, we thought we would be closer to the water. There was a little view of it. This would be a great place for families with children in the warmer months, pool, and lots of room to run around or ride bikes. This is an older hotel that has been updated. We wanted to Uber into Bar Harbor but no Ubers were in the area. Luckily we were able to find parking both evenings."
