We’re traveling cross country so we’re staying cheap as possible. I don’t expect much. This was a clean and basic but good price. That’s why I stayed. I come back.

Staff is very friendly, beds and pillows clean and comfortable. The shower drains slowly because there is excess hair built up that you can see. Overall a decent nights stay

The property is worn and sparse but very, very clean and the staff are friendly. For the price it is a good stay. A little updating and a couple personable touches and I would give a five across the board. I will stay again. Thank you.

Staff was very nice and for being the 4th of July and lots of people in town we took the last room they had because everywhere else was booked up .The room was definitely overpriced for what it was but the beds were comfortable and property was quiet for being a holiday .Wifi worked fine I was worried about the reviews I saw but it was a little better than expected the room could of been cleaner surfaces like tv screen and table tops needed to be cleaner but bathroom and beds were clean .overall better than expected but could use improvement in cleanliness. It worked for a 1 night stay just don't expect The Ritz.

Location was okay. The room smelled strongly of bleach when we went in, so we thought it was clean. The fixtures in the bathroom and the sink were clean. However, the floors were filthy. We walked around barefoot and the bottoms of our feet were covered in black grime. I included a picture of my socks that shows the filth that was on them after walking around for 5". The mirror over the vanity was in poor condition and needs replaced. My bed springs creaked and you could see they were old. The mattress was okay though and the sheets were clean. We would not stay there again.

Best things first: the young woman who checked us in was friendly and check in was simple. The beds appeared to have clean, brand new comforters on them. The beds were decently comfortable. The sink, toilet and shower were clean. Now, the ick. There were food smears in the fridge. The shower curtain rod was so degraded from the wall that it tilted down at an angle, making it impossible to keep the curtain more than halfway closed. This caused lots of water to accumulate on the bathroom floor, which appeared to be rotting. The walls and the floors of the unit were dirty. Perhaps the owners are planning on an overhaul and don't want to maintain the rooms. But, dang...

Exceptional Value and Super Friendly Staff

Love the Silver Sands hotel. The price is great, the rooms are clean and the staff are very friendly. They even allowed me to park my 20-ft utility trailer and the gentleman that checked me in said he’d keep an eye on it personally and with the security cameras. I’ve stayed there twice this trip and both experiences were great.

I could hear the cars, driving by, on 101 (right next to the hotel). The room said no smoking but it smelt like cigarettes and the air seemed stale. I opened the windows but the cars were noisy and people were lighting fireworks. There was no AC. I could hear a family in another room, being really loud, early Friday morning. ’The hotel is worn down and it shows. The stairs leading up to the second floor were narrow. If you have balance issues or depth perception that is off, it could be dangerous, using the stairs. I did not see an elevator. It was easy to get to the stores and businesses because of its location. I was only there to sleep, so it was ok and better priced than other hotels in the area.
