The street is actually a boardwalk mounted on a set of stakes that support the dwellings built on the water. Formerly it was the district of the red light of Ketchikan. The brothels were banned and closed in 1954. Now the street is a place with shops, galleries, totems and the museum of the House of Dolly. Creek Street was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. A Creek Street é uma área histórica de Ketchikan. Spectacular views, lots of wildlife, we even saw a black bear. There is a creek that empties into the ocean and lots of jumpers can be seen trying to make their way up it. Residents in the cove do their daily fishing from the beach at low tide. Kids had a blast catching tiny crabs. Peggy, owner and host is wonderful.
