"We didn't appreciate the extra $40 charge to try & force us to eat at the Revel & Rye (or other Marquis retaurants). Otherwise, the hotel was quite good."

Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel

Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel

8/10 Good
"We chose this hotel because it was close to the NYAC (where we were to attend a party) and Central Park. The room was comfortable, Marriott Bonvoy properties have the best beds! It's a busy hotel and the lobby was chaotic at times. Our only complaint was at check-in. We arrived very early and there was no room available, fair enough. The gentleman who checked us in took my phone number, confirmed it, and said we would receive a phone call when our room was available. Never happened. We even called the front desk at 5 PM, an hour after check-in time and was told our room still wasn't ready. When we returned to the hotel after dinner at approximately 7:30 PM the front desk told us there were plenty of rooms available at check-in and it would have been better to check in with the front desk in person. Okay, except the line was literally out the door onto 7th Avenue and we had dinner reservations! A minor snafu, not a tragedy and something that could have been avoided with better communication when we first checked in before noon."
