I was surprised how hard it was to get an hour extension on my checkout, which I didn’t end up doing as the front desk person sounded so negative about it. I used to work at a prominent hotel in nyc. I think the front desk staff could have been nicer considering what we are paying to stay there. "

"There was an issue with the shower drainage the very first day in the new building. However, staff quickly addressed/fixed that issue. Area is right at the center of everything - shops and food and beach is right across the street. Hotel shuttle will take you anywhere at a 3 mi radius too. Hotel will also store your luggage and provide a hospitality suite before or after check out time as courtesy- which is great!!! "

"This property is over the top with live penguins, birds, fish. There is an on site professional photographer who was able to get us graduation photos during our stay with no advance booking. The beach is lovely and there are several boutique shops on site. This was the best hotel better than the Hyatt on Waikīkī."
