"Hotel Mariposa was a great choice for our 5 day stay. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. We used the workout room, hot tub and corn whole game during our down time. Coffee in the lobby was very helpful. The staff to a person were very friendly. It was also convenient that Hugos, a restaurant, was across the street and recommended. It gave a discount for hotel guests We also popped into the Whole Foods at the corner several times. We will we stay again the next time we're in LA. "

"Room was clean and Linda at the front desk was accommodating and friendly but the blonde man at the front desk was unfortunately not. Some people should not work customer service. He was very unprofessional talking phone calls as I was talking and trying to check in and when I ran into an issue trying to check in he was very cold and offered no solutions only problems. Linda had to fix his mistakes. Also it smelled like weed all night and morning, people were smoking in their rooms"

"Hotel is beautiful, staff is great….only negatives: Water pressure…not great Phones - called the front desk and housekeeping for extra towels…phone rang for literally 8-9 mins…not sure what happened but I found a housekeeper to get us towels. Location is great"

"First room we were assigned to had suicide notes, and about 500 pages of jail notes, restraining orders and such. It scared us and we went to the front desk and asked for a new room. This was granted. When we got the new room, electricity was not working with a few of the lights. Then we received a phone call from another guest that had been relocated to another room for the same reason. I feel that housekeeping should have removed the contents of the first room, and when we were reissued another room, it should not have been one that was rejected by prior guest earlier that day. Very disappointed with the Hilton brand. This hotel was chosen because we wanted a nice relaxing stay. Instead we basically experienced chaos the entire stay "

"Breakfast is not included as stated. Breakfast is $25 an adult. The checkin experience was horrible as my booking wasn't at the hotel and i had to pay again for a room. Worst experience ever. It will be hard for me to come back to hotels.com"
