Though at one end of the beach park, it boasts a great view, with access to spacious beach front. Just as the picture of its exterior onsen spa shows, you can see the mountain at the far end of the lake. Also the check-in time is not as restrictive as some online review complained (before 6pm) so more flexible for a busy travel schedule. The staff is courteous and responsive to guests' need when they observe it. The only challenge for guests is, lack of Japanese language skills may restrict their communication with the staff. But this creates a real motivation for repeating guests to pick up some common tourist Japanese. And another possible annoyance is the residue smoke smell, if you are really sensitive which I am luckily not. So in short, I would love to stay in this hotel in my next visit to Lake Toya."
