With early morning rises and many trips back and forth to the rink, we felt right at home with the comfy beds, stunning views and everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. « Charming and unique log cabin with wonderful view of mountains, lakes, the sound and Vancouver Island. Lack of adjacent houses make it seem like a totally private north woods experience (bear, deer, many Bald Eagles and one elk spotted from the deck), Would have liked a bathroom on the second floor for the two bedrooms that are not the master suite, as the only second floor bath is in the master suite and therefore unsuitable for others to use during sleeping hours. « OK, met our needs, 9 family, 5 adults, 4 grandchildren, all teenagers. refrigerator not clean, cobwebs in bedroom corners, lack of some towels in some bathrooms, sink restricted in master ensuite, only one toilet paper in each bathroom, only one roll of paper towels, no kettle to boil water. Overall, a nice location and nice house, pricey for not being super clean, did meet our needs and host was very accommodating with the key, the timing and the phone number if there was an issue. « Very clean and tastefully decorated. Beds were comfortable. Well kitted out with appliances, cultlery and everything you might need. Parking on site for one vehicle, so if you are comfortable parking 2nd vehicle on the street, then it works well. Also not amenable to electric vehicles as there was no exterior outlet for charging an all electric. We loved the wood stove, which was very cozy and warm.
