"What can I say about La Medusa. I could write so much but in summary simply amazing. First impressions, beautiful period estate with stunning views and beautiful gardens. Serenity itself. From the reception to the Maitre D and restaurant staff to the fantastic team in the Spa. They were all amazing and help make this stay memorable and relaxing. "This hotel was fantastic. I booked with the intention of proposing to my girlfriend and I'd book this hotel again. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, they all spoke excellent English which isn't a requirement or expectation from me when traveling (after all, I am a guest in their country) but is very appreciative! We were a little restricted due to our vegetarian diet choice, but we always assume this will be the case anywhere. The restaurant in the hotel itself is fantastic! The staff there were amazing and there was one waiter in particular who made us feel very cared for. The beach, the bar and the swimming pool are all fantastic. We didn't make use of the spa as it doesn't interest us personally and the price was high enough that we didn't think "Eh let's give it a shot, why not.". The sea view room we stayed in was well furnished, clean and the view of Vesuvius was gorgeous. My only criticisms of the hotel are that it's location isn't fantastic (there's not much they can do about it - they offer shuttles from Vico Equense train station for €3 pp) and I wish there were more shaded common areas to sit. Most of the sitting areas serve a specific function such as the bar. There are benches but they're not in a shaded area and it gets very hot. Also if the hotel considered opening a little shop to buy drinks, snacks, etc, this would be much more appreciated as the vending machines leave much to be desired between meals."

"Very good hotel to stay if visiting Sorrento or Amalfi coast. Will need to rent a car though. Drive to Sorrento is 15-20 minutes. Hotel room is nice and clean. Lobby and patio are great. "

"This is a fantastic place. As a lone female traveller I felt very safe. There has been a lot of love go into making the house comfortable and welcoming. It’s also really close to everything I needed. The ruins, two different train line options and plenty of great gelato places. I would recommend to anyone!"

"A very nice hotel, everything is renovated and clean, breakfast on the terrace was my favorite part, the view is spectacular. The location in front of the beach is very good for walking along the entire boulevard. "

"Blink and you could walk past this gem of a hotel. As you walking into the hotel entrance you see the beautiful lemon tree garden. The staff could not do enough for you, and were so friendly, with a great sense of humour. The rooms are spacious, and the wifi super fast. Breakfast is served downstairs in a room that looks into the garden ,what a peaceful way to start the day .Breakfast choice are extremely good and fresh .We would return to this Hotel if Pompeii comes onto our list again"
