"My friends and I stayed at this cabin for my bachelorette weekend. It was beyond perfect in every way. The host, Erin, was responsive and friendly. The check-in process was very easy. There was a house manual that explained the house and how everything works, which was helpful! There were little details in the cabin that made the stay even better. "For a long weekend in the area, this was a great place for my wife and I, two of our adult sons and our dog. The house was clean and comfortable and just off a nice park trail for our pup. Kitchen supplies (spices and oils) were somewhat limited, so bring your own if you intend to cook. Pots and pans were adequate. Host supplied Keurig cup coffee."

"Great property! Very well appointed with precision attention to the little details (such as 10 different tea flavors, lovely bottle of wine on a cheese board with coupons to local restaurants if you want to go out). Eric was very responsive to fixing the garage door when it didn’t close easily. Everything was wonderful overall. Fantastic hosts!! Would highly recommend this property."

"We had a family wedding in the area and gathered 3 couples with a few kids comfortably here. House was stocked with anything you'd need. We made a big breakfast and relaxed with morning coffee. Stayed indoors due to a busy mosquito season but enjoyed games and drinks both nights. Loved the big windows! Beds were comfortable and we all slept great. Owner was easy to communicate with."

"We had a great time at the lodge on Rush Lake. The house is spacious and well cared for. There is plenty of room to spread out. It was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. This house was built by my great grandparents and was my dad's childhoom home. We spent most of the time looking at old photos and hearing stories about the property (which was a resort and farm that included the twin barns) and what the area was like back in the day. It's nice to see the property is restored and well...

"My friends and I made the short drive up from the Cities for a weekend away and could not have been more pleased with our stay at Zach and Betsy’s home. The house itself was clean and spacious—everyone (two couples, two singles) had their own space if they needed a minute to themselves. The details—from ample linens and phone chargers in every room to the coffee maker and French press to the board games—were immaculate. I fully recommend The Gables for a getaway!"

"Compared to other properties we have stayed in I would give it 3 stars. We did all our own cooking in this home but realized we should have brought much more bottled water as the water in all taps and showers was VERY foul smelling. The smell lingered in the room and on the person after using the water. More than I care to explain. I realize they had a water test a couple years ago but I recommend another test immediately. No minerals smell like fecal matter. If there is a reason for this smell...
