"In town for a wedding and to visit with friends & family. Hotel worked well for our needs. Only glitch was on Saturday morning around 10:30 AM when I needed to shower and wash my hair. The water was barely lukewarm and I called the front desk afterwards - certain that I wouldn’t be the only call they’d received about this. Turns out that i was the only person calling to complain about ‘no hot water’. Front desk was responsive and sent up a maintenance guy who confirmed we had no hot water and as we talked i asked him “so the bus load of soccer players used up the hot water?”He looked at me and said “yeah - we have 3 water heaters for the property”.
Other than that snafu, all was good. I have now learned that if I’m at a hotel with a large tour bus in the parking lot, i better take my shower early in the morning!"

"I absolutely loved this hotel. It was pretty clean for an old building. It has that old historic feel to it and the hotel throughout look really cool. A lot of the stuff is pretty outdated but that is okay because I think it is supposed to look that way because of the history behind the hotel and it adds to the charm of the history. When I booked the room, I thought there was just going to be a microwave and mini fridge but there was actually a kitchenette, but I don't know if that is in all rooms or not. I did only put 3 stars on the staff & service because we didn't really interact with the staff at all except for check in which was really fast, and we had put the do not disturb sign on the door the whole time so that they wouldn't go in our room to clean while we were out since we didn't really need it because we only stayed for 2 nights. I absolutely loved the elevator, it scared me a bit because it's so old, but it's a cute, charming, interesting, old style elevator. I also loved it being in downtown next to everything so we can just walk there. All in all, loved this place and will most likely be going back again one day! "

"There was some construction going on, but it was not a distraction to the rest of the property. The main TV did not work, said it was downloading an update or something. The one in the bedroom worked. The breakfast in the morning was...ummm... barely. But better choices were available nearby."

"I liked how quiet it was and safe the room was very nice . The only thing missing was a table so that we could eat our food. But really enjoyed our stay there. "
