« Nice overnight stay with my partner. Room spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. A little soft for my liking but I did sleep well. Was very thankful for the fan and I’m used to sleeping with one at home. Delicious food…the steak and ale pie was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast before the long drive home. Would definitely recommend the Captain cook Inn and we would be more than happy to stay again. »

« This Hotel could do with a serious upgrade. We would not have stayed longer in the room we had if it had been for more than one night. When we arrived and saw the view it was great, but then it went downhill. The en suite was not good at all, and the dinning room more like a canteen. After 17 days away staying at 12 different places, this was most disappointing. I will say no more. »

« Friendly, welcoming check in. Nice big rooms. Very dog friendly. Breakfast was outstanding! So hospitable....explained to the manager that we found our beds uncomfortable, the manager organised new mattresses with no question and a smile. We did find the room to be a bit stuffy as the only ventilation was possible of we kept the french door on the latch, which was perfect during the day but perhaps a little unsafe at night.
