« Edward and Helen were so attentive, they spent time telling us about the history of their amazing home. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The breakfast was a lovely sociable affair, where we met 4 other guests and had a lovely conversation. Thank you so much Helen and Edward we will definitely stay at Burton Court again. »

« Overall a great weekend. It was sometimes quite difficult to find your way around, especially in the dark with minimal lighting outside and difficult to read signage. Lovely wooded walks and bikes available. »

« A very friendly place to stay in the countryside south of Chester with well equipped modern rooms and good pub food all at very reasonable prices. Nice touches include very good fresh coffee in the room and excellent range of freshly cooked breakfast choices included in the room rate. »

« Nice atmosphere (tranquility), next to co-op and friendly people. It’s easy commute to Doncaster town/Askern which took about 22mins Staff very helpful, we are looking forward to staying there again soon »

« Excellent food. Fabulous service from reception, bar and restaurant. Beautiful location with amazing views. Friendly hospitable staff. Plenty of parking. Room was comfortable and spacious. It’s an old building with the related issues (you’d creak a bit if you were that old!). The breakfast buffet was limited however the cooked breakfast food more than made up for this. The evening meals were outstanding. We were part of a group of 6 and none of us were disappointed with the choice or quality. »

« Hillthwaite feels staying in a family home rather than a hotel and the warm welcome certainly matches. The room was spacious and bedding extremely comfortable, which was perfect for a mini break in the area. Extra points for the bathtub (in addition to a full shower)! Breakfast was excellent and the staff is lovely. »

« Everything was fantastic. We cannot fault the owners and the colleagues that took care of everything. The only minor fault, would be a lack of WiFi in the rooms we were in. »

« Quite a nice quiet place but not worth anything like what they charge. There were stains on the bed covers which they came and changed straight away. Breakfast wasn't worth bothering with, hardly anything there on the continental option, we waited a while for drinks that didnt come so we gave up and left. »
