Saint-Roch Hotels Guide

Feel transported to old Europe when you walk along the cobbled streets of Lower Town, Quebec City. This area of the city is where explorer Samuel de Champlain founded New France in 1608. Four centuries later, Lower Town has still maintained its old world charms.

  • Find historically cheap prices on hotels in Lower Town
  • Enjoy more travel options than anyone else
  • Add to your own life story with a trip to Quebec’s famous neighbourhood

Book one of the many hotels in Lower Town, Quebec, with Expedia.ca to be in the thick of this romantic city.

With old iron lanterns lighting your way, this is the best place for a charming stroll with your significant other. Take in dinner at one of the local family-owned restaurants before walking a little south to view the calm St. Lawrence River. The next morning, the shop-till-you-drop side of you will love a stroll down Rue du Petit-Champlain. This centuries-old pedestrian-only street is dotted with artisan shops and small cafes.

If you’re feeling a little adventurous on your vacation, head to Old Quebec. Hop onto the Funiculaire, the popular elevator ride alongside the stiff cliffs of town that provides unparalleled views of square below. You can also hike up the Breakneck Stairs, the city’s oldest stairway, if you’d rather a bit of exercise on your trip to Lower Town, Quebec. Just don’t miss out on Place Royale, Notre-Dame-des-Victoires, and the Museum of Civilization before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Use Expedia.ca to reserve your cheap stay in Lower Town. Take your pick of inns with antique flair or more modern hotels in Quebec City that blend in with the quaint feel of the neighbourhood.
