"Villa Lara was exceptional in all categories above!! If you are spending time in Normandy or Bayeaux, hands down this is the only place to stay. Don’t even consider another hotel. The location is awesome. The rooms were very comfortable, updated and clean. The hotel staff especially Julian were outstanding. Even Phillip the owner went out of his way to take special care of us!! Hôtel Villa Lara exceeded all our expectations and made our 3 nights in Bayeaux wonderful!!! "The hotel is beautiful, in an old mansion that was once inhabited by writer Gustave Flaubert. The rooms were nicely sized, and room amenities (water, coffee, etc) were replenished everyday of need be. Staff were So friendly and helpful. Our only constructive criticism is that the WiFi was not very strong: it was in and out. However everything else was wonderful! "
