"Montague is one of those places that will either be charming or creepy depending on the lens of the viewer. The outside area is very warm and the patio is a nice place to sit outside. Upon arrival, I did have to call a phone number and wait 10-15 minutes for someone to come up, check me in, and give me a room key. My room was on the second floor. If you are unable to pack lightly, beware, because it may require multiple trips up and down stairs. The room seemed clean enough but the pillowcases had a faint odor to them and there was hair in the shower. Neither my partner nor I slept well as the king bed, though it looked lovely, was too stiff for both of us (and he has a bad back). There was also a jar of something left underneath the bed from previous occupants, which we discarded. Though I would have preferred a mini fridge in the room, there was a communal fridge and freezer in the downstairs kitchen area available to occupants. The included breakfast was standard fair, though I personally would have enjoyed more fruit options. Overall a nice stay, and quiet as it seemed like the only occupants were adults. If you love historic buildings, there were a lot of neat features to check out. It was close to the Dow Event Center (which was why we came to visit) and I would consider staying again in the future."

"The room was great it was outdated but still great. One thing I did notice was the blankets and sheets had blood stains in them. I wasn’t sure if it was actual blood stains or maybe from where they tried to wash them and they didn’t come clean either way it scared me so I went and purchased new sheets pillows and blankets because it was stains on the pillow cases as well. I didn’t have time to bring it to anyone’s attn because as soon as we got our things in we headed right back out. The room was small and there were furniture items that could’ve been taken out to make more room but I had small children with me so it’s seemed small. Breakfast was good my kids enjoyed it both days and it was quiet and safe! They played with the dog who was also kind! I would definitely go back but they’ve got to update a lot of things in there!"

"The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice and accomodating. Location is close to restaurants and shops. Quiet location, not too far from the highway. Breakfast was provided and was ok. Would definitley stay there again."
