Inside, the classic saltbox design features the common areas and primary bedroom on the lower floor, with two more bedrooms plus a loft upstairs. After a day of fun in the sun, kick off those flip flops and relax in the comfortably furnished living area. Two-story ceilings and an open-concept layout make this family-friendly space feel bright and airy. A dining table for six and a well-equipped kitchen make it easy to prepare and serve meals without leaving the house. Stylish LVP flooring flows throughout the main level, ideal for sandy feet and paws returning from the beach. Right across Hwy 12 you'll find a coffee shop and pizzeria, both within walking distance. There's also Rodanthe Watersports, where you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, and more for exploring the Pamlico Sound. Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. The smell of Clorox was so bad when we walked in had to open doors so we could breath we were given the wrong Wi-Fi code so did not have Wi-Fi the first day.
